Hi guys, I'm converting my old VHS tapes to digital and will be uploading classic crew matches over time. I probably have like 15-20 matches, mostly from the 90s. I'll post the links here for those of you who are interested but appreciate any new subscribers to my channel. Let's start off with the 1999 inaugural game at Historic Crew Stadium.
My wife and I were there just like we were for the first game at the horse shoe! And at the last game at the Shoe and at the Fairgrounds!lol

Here's a little one. It's local news packages from the 2002 Lamar Hunt Us Open Cup Final when we won our first ever trophy. I don't have the full game, but luckily someone else had it and uploaded it to youtube last year. I think this little video is especially great for the interviews with Brian McBride, Jon Busch etc. after having just won their first trophy. Enjoy
Yeah, I had the CDs, ripped and sent the files off to be uploaded. I sent the 2008 ECF vs Chicago off to be uploaded, but don't know what happened there.

MLS would be stupid to force the takedown of any content that brings more eyes to the league. But then I remember that the league is stupid.
It might not be MLS either. The network who purchased the rights for example. The Mouse, for one, is very fussy about intellectual rights.
yes, it's possible one day some of these may get hit, but more likely no one is going to bother with old obscure games. I've uploaded entire world cups to one of my other channels and while they got taken down eventually the channel never did. And I'm not banking on monetizing my crew channel anyways
right you are! youtube has a feature where you can mute or cut out a section of your video that has a detectable song. I've been using it quite a bit. you can also leave the song in and it will run an ad with the video

I could be confusing this with another match, because it was so long ago, but I'm pretty sure I have an unused ticket for this match lying in a shoe box in my closet. The car I was driving died on the way to the stadium, and I wound up listening to the match on 1460 on my Walkman (or whatever version thereof I had at the time).
no, highest I got on one was just over 400 views so far, but i'm enjoying rediscovering these old treasures and giving the crew a little more of a presence on youtube

As a followup to my upload of the final tampa bay mutiny game, here's that weekends MLS Extratime review show. I always found it kinda eerie that around the 44:56 mark Rob Stone presents the potential playoff bracket as "If the season ended today". Little did we know that it would as the September 11th attacks prompted the cancellation of the rest of the regular season. Aside from that there's plenty of highlights and interesting segments about the burn/fire rivalry and about the crews 2001 turnaround under Greg Andrulis.
