    what a dick head lol.

This man was once my hero. I got money he will end up going to jail for a day because he exposed his tattoos at a shopping mall.

this is clearly not a career move. That ship sailed and sank after Real Madrid II. But it does help heal his pockets. All speculation of course but I'm sure the nail in the coffin was when Benitez took over. If James was already struggling to stay in the best shape to return back to 100% he would have done it under Ancelotti. Now with Benitez, it's just another way to tag on an excuse. The NT would traditionally be his 'club' away from his real club duties but it seems James has an amazing knack to blow up everything he touches that has to with futbol.

Anyhow, I would still watch James play for some Qatar club if he showed up on one of my paid channels. But any top level futbol " career " is at this point, behind him. RIP James.

Yeah this is good for us, James playing and in warm weather in a league where he'll be able to prioritize the NT is a big win for us. He is where he is at this point, with a club manager who doesn't like him at all and he won't play and Rueda who is maybe not as bad but has taken a similar stance. James has made a lot of dumb moves to get to this point, but the best of alot of bad options would still be much, much better then not playing until January at minimum

Its funny because he seems content to just sit at home and go on social media and his huge fan base will stroke his ego, so maybe he thinks he doesn't need soccer anymore. Thing is the more he falls into obscurity the more adulation will as well, fans will fall away and Colombians are doing so at a pretty fast rate I'd imagine. So what he thinks he can fall back on will likely diminish the longer he goes on like this, and the guy is not a good speaker or interesting to listen to, so it would surprise me to see him go into media or something in the future.

If this is right - effectively he is taking same wages as in Everton and they get a small loan fee.

Yes, but Miami couldn't sign him due to transfer windows.

Seems Everton really expected him to take a wage cut on the loans and he blew the August window by balking. Now he gets to live with the indignity.

So from a novela in Madrid (and Bayern) to a comedy in England to a tragedy in Qatar.

I will still be eating my popcorn as I watch all of this unfold all the same.

James should just go to the MLS... He should just tell his agent to talk to Beckham... Or New York....

Leaving Bayern, whether it was because of the cold or because he thought he had the deal with Atleti lined up before Florentino called it off, will always be the big 'what if' in his career.

what if he played with atletico........simeone would bench him because the same reason zidane benched him...lack of defensive and solidarity.....

True. I think in the post above Jace was lamenting his leaving Bayern, which I agree is the worst of his mistakes in hindsight.

I've never heard that he left Germany because he thought the Atleti deal was happening. I've read him attribute it to the cold... Which is the dumbest decision ever and far worse.

Bayern won the Champions League without him.
He probably would have been on the blench all 2020 and complained about winning another Champions League without playing a minute past the Quarters.

They also won stuff with him and he played regularly when there.

I don't understand how he still has a relationship with Mendes - either he is getting awful advice or is the worst client in history making his agent look terrible.

The point is too many people are thinking good things would have been guaranteed if he stayed at Bayern.
I think he still could of messed it up somehow and complained about something.

He and Thiago dominated Madrid's midfield over 2 games when they played them and narrowly lost to some really suspect calls before they brought in Kovac and screwed it up. He's just such a bad decision maker outside of the field its really a big contrast to him on the field, so often makes the right choice with his passes and how the game and yet off the field he's a complete moron over and over again.

you're kidding right....Mendes just keeps ringing the register with James constant jumps. Go figure, God decides to give a guy all the talent in the world to become a star and instead if using that gift to become a true legend, he becomes one of the biggest flops. What a waste.

I swear if this move to Qatar for a season loan some ********ing genius move for him to adapt before the world cup (Which I remind all of you, isn't until the end of 2022 due to the weather; maybe their season is handled differently) I am going to laugh my ass off and legitimately be surprise if this somehow makes him extremely well verse and one of the finest in form lol.

It goes both ways. Mendes has a lot of clients and certainly this deal with Everton hasn't reflected well on him with James' twitch situation. If it's true that teams actively walked from James as a target because of his off field stuff that is hella embarrassing for a guy like Mendes.

Further, if he's made money off of James - imagine how much money he would have made off James if our guy hadnt played the fool? The conversion of that Bayern loan? Huge pay out that he will prob never recover - I think the option was 40M euro or something...
