JT's progress has been good this year. He's still letting in too many but his backline hasn't been good enough.
ESPN+ is mostly worthless -- we tried that yesterday, failed, and switched to YouTubeTV. As long as you're not watching a game involving a local team, then ESPN+ is okay. Or if you have a family member who can remote access a work network in another city and fool ESPN+ into believing you're in St. Louis.
I have YoutubeTV and I got the impression I couldn't see the game there because it wasn't listed. But maybe they make it available soon afterward? I clicked on it today and there's initially a message about it not being available, and then, boom, it is! Weird. It's like they insert the "not available" clip before the actual game video.
MLS on ESPN+ is an out-of-market service. In-market streaming rights are through the NBC Sports app (on mobile devices or smart TV platforms such as Roku), and the replay is available there now. You need a TV provider login (I think YoutubeTV works if your subscription there include the local NBCS channels).
I'm a huge Jackson fan, but his current form is off. He's been reduced to a shuttler role... seems a bit lost in the shuffle further up field...with his current form ,i think we need more from the upfield role he plays in the juRY midfield..a lot more attacking verve needed there... with that said, i think the key to it all is playing a three back...Nathan, Beason and gulp, Alanis.....with either Jackson or Remedi paired with Judson...with Chofis as the roving ACM, free to roam wherever he can do the most damage...either wide and high or under the forwards...play two forwards...Hopefully Jebo can return, but I like what Benji is bringing. He has speed and is a better than average dribbler...more technical. The three back allows us to get another forward on...two up top to play to, with Chofis joining....and I wouldn't hesitate to play Espinoza up top...He always looks great when he tucks inside for those deep channel runs...when need that up top. Chofis is carrying the team on his back right now...we need to get him some help up top...we can pull this off if we can score a few more goals and freaking park Judson for 90 minutes in front of the back line for protection.
Thanks. I have YoutubeTV but not sure if I could have gotten the game there live because it wasn't listed Friday night. I can get it today. I've cancelled by ESPN+ subscription - again (as GW said, "There's an old saying in Tennessee, fool me once, um [dammit, where's my telepromter!....] shame on you, um [crap, where am I in this damn thing, oh screw it I'm gonna try to save it]........you can't get fooled again!")
OK, having finally watched the game, a few comments: - We weren't that bad in the 1st half, except for the last 10 minutes. But before then I think we were the better team by a little bit. We were winning the ball in midfield a decent number of times, which is the key for us. - We seemed to be playing more man-marking again in this game, which seemed to be problematic. We had some of those instances where we were just too stretched thin at the top of the box and inside it. - Marcos Lopez really should have had 2 headed goals, which would have been really weird since I can't even hardly remember him ever heading a ball around goal. His goal was exceptional. - On the reds / no reds, I thought that Stuver's shoving down of Espinoza was a red, as did Danielle. It was no accidental shove. You can see him training his eyes on Espinoza and making a mean face has he pummeled him. 2nd yellow was legit, and the TT thing was borderline in my view. You could see TT altering his run just a little bit to the right to draw contact. I think he's gotten into a thing where he is looking too much for a PK when he gets into the box. - Benji has really good wheels once you give him 10 yards or so. I mean really good. I would continue to start him while Jebo is out. - I initially thought starting TT in this game was a mistake. He hasn't played in nearly 3 months! Not even a minute as a sub. And then you start him, out of the blue, in a road game? But I think he played pretty well. Lots of plays on defense, only missed on a few passes out of 30-something, a few successful dribbles, and got into the box a few times, nearly drawing a PK on one. He was not at fault on any of the goals as far as I can tell. He was man-marking #7, Pochettino, almost the whole time, and that guy was a non-factor.
Oh and one more thing - a note to Matthew McConaughey: your coach doesn’t necessarily have to kind of look like you in order to be good.
I’ve never really thought that Wondo was a good captain. He mostly stands out for arguing vehemently with the ref. And it doesn’t do much good to have a GK as captain, cuz he can’t interact with the ref that much from back there. I would think Remedi, Jackson (if he plays better) or Judson would be natural choices. Or even Tanner Beason.
It's easy to deal with this by using a VPN so that ESPN+ "thinks" you are somewhere else. I use ExpressVPN--very easy to use and cheap.
Team captains aren't leaders like CEOs -- seems like the main attributes that you're looking for are low levels of irritability, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to win the team's respect. Wondo may argue too much with the referees, but he helps keep the team focused, and he's not going to put his foot in his mouth on camera. Remedi seems to hot-headed and I don't see that kind of gravitas from Jackson. But Tanner, yeah, I could see that.
Comment on our game from the referee board re the keeper's foul: I think that's an easy red card. This isn't hockey. And even if it was, it's so far after action has concluded that there's no way it's not violent conduct for me. He completely blindsided a guy who had no reason he was going to get blasted American-football style. That said, I don't really feel sorry for the guy he hit, because this whole idea of running into the other team's net to retrieve a ball after you just scored is possibly the dumbest thing that currently exists in the game. I didn't watch the games today, but sounds as though there were more red cards not given, plus LAFC getting hands-off treatment (LAFC, who would have thought?)
1. No, I'm straight I don't have a dildo lol. 2. I'm not scared of your red card. 3. No one likes you in this forum.
everyone here likes TyffaneeSue. I think we'd all appreciate it if you didn't make her have to work too hard deleting posts and whatnot.
