As long as he nets them in yellow then I’m happy unlike our other club gods who are shit the second a yellow Jersey is on their backs

Borja was injured last night during Gremio's match.

We will find out soon if he will be available for Qualifiers.
*Edit They are saying in Brasil it may be an ankle sprain that may keep him out 7-15 days.

More than likely out for Qualifiers.

Duvan is just going to have to finally step up and score some goals.

It will be interesting to see who Rueda selects for Borja's replacement.

Damn that sucks, Muriel back in the squad please. If he was good enough to play 35 minutes yesterday he can be a super sub for us in these crucial games imo even if he's not at 100%.

Yeah and also if we're playing a 4-4-2 then Muriel and Duvan seem like the best choice to play in that formation with as much time playing together that they have. If we are struggling to create chances, I think a forward pair of Muriel and Duvan has proved at club level to be prolific in that regards, giving them more time to reproduce that is a benefit a lot of National teams don't have.

I think our best 9 from a pure offensive output is far and away Muriel, but we have used him wide and never really used him there and we've been way to dependent on crosses into the box which isn't his game at all.

Social media rumors are floating around that Muriel is on vacation with his lady in Paris and will not be called up this month.

I am also hearing rumors that Rueda is just considering just staying with two 9s like he did last month and not calling up a replacement.

Really bad news - Felipao is out at Gremio. He brought both Borja and Campaz there...

Should not really change anything with Borja since he is still their best striker when healthy.

Campaz was not playing much anyway under him so maybe the new guy will give him a chance.

Borja and Felipao have history though - I hope you are right.

Felipao fought for the Campaz signing from what I had read so I hope whoever comes in is supportive - I really don't want him to be a Marlos for us.

but i think campaz was more an scouting service the decision to buy him...maybe scolari wanted him in first roster.

unopular opinion: he shuld work and improve a lot of in brasil to take him seriously....his football is too local for my taste.

I think that's the risk and sadly that would be awful for the domestic league credibility.

i think it depends certain positions...for central forwards and second top our league produce maybe the best of south america...cmfs are very good for exports....but 10, creatives, wing backs not always make impact out of our league....

Which is weird when you consider we are one of the last countries that rely so much on the position.

Needs to start both games in November if healthy in my book.

Hopefully he is 100% and ready to go by then.

    Lol - you’re not wrong

We also do really well when we are up 11 v 10 - I miss those games :)

Funny you say Messi, his goal scoring for Argentina is 51% of the games while for Barcelona, it was 85% of the games. Argentina ironically underachieved during the last few WCQs. It’s only now that they actually have real momentum and are firing off all cylinders.
