i'm going to need to see fred's passport - i refuse to belive that he's brazilian. struggling with 10 yard square passes is simply unacceptable for a man utd midfielder. enough is enough.

awb has to go as well. defensive full backs are not a thing for contenders.

 

For any player of Fred's size, you would expect a better touch on the ball. His is so erratic and heavy. His touch is like his style, always scrambling.

 

Fred often seems like he panics for a second or two when a ball is played to him. Like he doesn’t know what he should be doing.

Even after hearing that Moyes decided to go with Noble because WH had 3 misses in their last 4 spot kicks, still a big gamble to go with someone off the bench, who was completely cold.

We were actually fairly unlucky.

 

There was absolutely no way that Messi Lingard was not going to play this match. That was Fergie-esque to give him the opportunity to redeem himself almost instantly.

Other guys might have instantly frozen him out.

 

Sound like a broken record, but our midfield is such a problem. On a good day, they are passengers. On a bad day they are pylons. When you look at how Chelsea looked in the second half today it's hard to think of anything other than them being a few miles ahead of us, despite the points total being even thus far.

 

Yep - our attack is top 4, our defence is top 4, but our central midfield is easily bottom half.

Upper mid-table teams like West Ham, Leicester, Wolves, Spurs, Everton, Villa, Brighton even f&&g Arsenal etc all have better CMs than us.

 

Keane would know after all... Understated but still pretty effective display all the same from Rice today.
