The start of a 3-game road trip. And thanks to the poor performance at home, I think we need at least a win and a tie on this trip to stay in the 4 spot in the West. Minnesota is reeling right now and in bad slump themselves. So we need to come out with much more intensity and really punch them in the mouth and not let them think they can hang with us. The last thing we want to be is the team that lets them get out of their funk.

Vanney started with a poor game plan last game. Let's hope this game he does better. What is your pick for the lineup? Who do you think rotates in for yet another game on short rest?

    Let's Go Galaxy!!!

We just beat the Loons at their nest didn't we? Let's do that again!

They are in a bad way. Lost their last two matches and even going like seven games deep in their recent history they only have two matches they have won both against Houston.

Last game they got stomped 4-0 by SKC with the Loons not even putting up a fight. Heath may be losing that team. Now we are going back WITH Chicharito in tow.

    Let the feathers fly-fly-fly...

    GALAXY!!!

I thought we played well against Colorado. We slumped a bit mid-week; but if we bring the intensity from the Rapids match I think we'll get a result.

I agree we had more intensity bs COL.

But that was only half of the reason we looked that good. Why oh why will so few give credit to the uber successful formation we used against COL? Our midfield and defense has never looked more solid and connected than we did in that 5-4-1.

We looked like the Bruce teams of old - a team built on a very solid, difficult to penetrate foundation. Different formation than Bruce’s but same result. Frustrate opponents, steal ball, move upfield, attack. Rinse and repeat.

We should know by now that our back line isn’t great when 4 across. We don’t have Franklin-Okar-AJ-Duni. We don’t have a destroyer DM. Instead we have a right back who loves to attack and a rcb who has talented but inconsistent, fronted by a slowing JDS or attack minded Rayan. So out back line needs to be close enough to each other that they can support each other out, not get stuck with a lot of 1v1 defending. That is why 3 central defenders and two attacking wing defenders made our foundation so much stronger.

    Now go get’em!

I like starting Kljestan. He’s earned it. And Efrain in a better spot. But Araujo’s gotta be exhausted….

Whoops. They updated the graphic. Now it’s Lletget starting instead of Efrain. Probably a better idea for a game on the road.

I realllly like this lineup. Sacha and Lletget as dual 10's/8's with Raveleson behind them, I like it. Just hope Raveleson's penchant for mistakes that lead to dangerous chances get minimized, we only have a 4 backline.

(That being said, Fisher needs to come in sometime to give Julian a break, he's really looked gassed, especially in the 2nd half lately)
