On the bench in the match against Ac Milan, Origi was favoured instead, who hadn't started since January. All 5 subs were used, but no sign of Takumi. Unfortunately for him Origi played well. I understand he was injured but to not even get 5 minutes when Liverpool are short up top? I think he needs to look elsewhere in January.
I guess Liverpool administration thinks of Minamino as the player that sells them Liverpool Jerseys in Japan. I know it's an old meme but that's the only reason I can think of of him staying at Liverpool all this time. I still think he should've stayed at RB Salzburg or at least transfer to the other RB team in Germany i.e. Leipzieg, a decent team with regular appearances in the CL and has no prominent superstar player in their roster.
The Premier League being one of the only major competitions not to adopt the 5 substitutes rule really hurts Minamino. He’s not really a match winner type, more a lubricant for the attacking play at this level - hope Kloppo will give him chances as he comes back from injury.
Rumors say Klopp will leave then I hope Minamino will leave too. Wasting the best years of his football life rotting on the bench to sell Liverpool jersey is even worst than what happened to Nakajima.
There are countless players Klopp stuck to even though they never were regular players, and at some point most of them did make a crucial difference, think Origi, Shaqiri etc. I get the feeling they want to keep Minamino for that kind of role.
One of the downsides of joining a well established, star-studded team. Unless you did something extraordinary, you'd always be the last in the pecking order.
Minamino with the victory cherry on top goal to make it a 4-0 Liverpool thrashing over Arsenal https://streamwo.com/6eIVcIP
Minamino starts vs AC Milan with A.O.Chamberlain on his side. In a parallel dimension R.Miyaichi is playing this match with Minamino and S.Kagawa is on the stands with K.Honda cheering for his NT mates and his former manager Klopp.
Assist and late goal to narrowly ensure extra time after Liverpool fell behind 0-2 and 1-3 against Leicester in EFL Cup. Edit: Uh, it goes straight to PK instead? Edit: He gets the decisive 5th shot and... hits the crossbar. Could have been the winner. Edit: Liverpool wins anyway.
