Yeah, he didn’t outscore Ronaldo. Higuain scored 27 league goals, 29 in all competitions, while Ronaldo scored 26 league goals, 33 in all competitions. He outscored him by 1 goal if we only count league goals. Higuain seems salty.
Wow he actually did! I thought the 27 league campaign (in 32 appearances, that’s a fantastic performance) was one season before Cristiano came not in 2009/10. I don’t think he sounds salty at all. He talking about the competition with Karim bringing the best out of him and the fact that they didn’t get to play but with each other which is true, they didn’t. It is funny he doesn’t remember that all of Cristiano, Karim, Kakà, Xabi etc. came in the same summer though
It's all irrelevant really, pro athletes are to some level immune to criticism and completely in love with themselves as a way to protect themselves from massive pressure.
I'm not really sure what's negative about these comments, if that's the aim, if that's not the aim ignore my comment, but we celebrate Ronaldos' drive to be the best, at this point and time in his career, for me, no problem with this thinking
I don't buy this theory that Tottenham has this humongous fanbase clubs like Madrid, Bayern and Barca can't survive without. If anything clubs are able to grow their fanbase by having access to CL and making historic runs where they get the needed exposure. Tottenham was still trending off their CL final appearance but that is fading and they are back to a Europa League team already. Arsenal hasn't been that level in what seems like a decade. Milan belongs but can't get or keep it together.
I always thought a Higuain-Benzema partnership would have been epic. Maybe even better than with Ronaldo because neither player would have to defer to the other and they could always just make the "best choice" rather than feel like they are forced to make plays for the benefit of an individual player and making it easier for defenses to predict what will happen. There were rumors back then that Benzema was kind of needy and had to feel "appreciated" or whatever the problem was, but there's also the fact the Benz was a Flo signing and perhaps Higuain never had the full support he needed to succeed if the plan was to replace him all along.

Spurs fans love to talk up their fan base size, because they have nothing to shout about on the pitch or in the trophy cabinet. Its certainly true that they have a larger fan base than other similar achievement sized clubs, but not to the size of any of the big clubs here. When I was a young kid at school in the late 80's/early 90's a lot of my mates were running around in Liverpool or Spurs shirts (while I proudly wore my 3rd division shirt!) which was odd even then as it had been ages since they had any success (what little success they have ever had), but nowadays you don't see Spurs shirts around much. They have not won anything for so long, why would kids support them?

Schalke and Hamburg have higher attendance in the second division of German football than some Bundesliga teams. People talk a lot about competition levels and fairness but the truth is certain teams will not become popular no matter how good they are. Hoffenheim had to borderline pay people to go and see the team and they were the Story of the league for a while. Wolfsburg similarly a team that won't really be missed if they disappear tomorrow. Basically all these artificially created clubs (RB Leipzig) for example. Location also plays a huge role.
1438909474421551116 is not a valid tweet id This is going to be a disastrous train wreck season for Barca
Koeman comes across like a shitty person to be honest. He knows they can't/couldn't fire him for financial reasons so he's really rubbing salt in the wound. Maybe he wants to provoke them to just say f*** it right in time for Christmas with the family.
It will be interesting to see how he copes with numerous two leg challenges week in and out in the league without the protection he got in La Liga, League 1 is a very dirty league.
maybe he has a crazy contract that says he mostly only play for them in the CL, in this day an age who knows
Barcelona last week didn’t play at all as opposed to us which we played at Sunday and then Wednesday, and now play again Tomorrow. The cules not only got free time as not played last Saturday, but also played in Tuesday and now play in Monday ! (More days between).
I noticed that as well. But I don't expect Barca to be our rivals this season so not really bothered about these things unlike previous seasons. My rival focus is mainly on Atlético right now.
The last time Lewandowski didn’t register a goal/assist in a game for Bayern in all competitions was on the 5th of February. 22 games since then.— TC (@totalcristiano) September 18, 2021 He won’t win the Ballon though. Messi agenda too strong
Pathetico boiling over after a rather dubious red for Joao Felix. 10min (+ whatever added time) left on the clock for Bilbao to hold on.
Felix got the red for telling the referee that he's a f*cking idiot. From what I could see it was a yellow for the foul and a red for his "chatter".
