But Italy uses the metric system. He was pulled at half-time against Empoli which was before the international break but narrative...
Could it be Juve were pissed that Ronaldo left complaining he would not play soccer with a "snacker"? OGS responds to claim Ronaldo has ‘scared’ players over dessert (msn.com)
Then you haven't watch us play much this year! NOTHING has been easy. but he is on now and mixing it up.
Everybody does, except for the USA. And England tries hard to use both, which has caused infinite confusion for the last half century.
The most obvious flaw being the sale of petrol (gasoline) in liters while fuel economy is measured in miles per imperial gallon (imperial gallon = 5/4 x America gallon).
In many countries in the Americas gasoline is sold by the the US gallon. Several sell by the imperial gallon. There was quite a bit of kicking and screaming in Canada when the country went metric. Song lyricists tend to avoid the metric system, when putting words to music, of course.
And I would roll 804.672 kilometers And I would roll 804.672 more Just to be the man who rolls 1,609.88 kilometers To fall down at your door Yep, doesn't work.
It only doesn't work because your math is off! And I would roll 804.672 kilometers And I would roll 804.672 more Just to be the man who rolls 1,609.344 kilometers To fall down at your door Much better!
That's not entirely true. If you look at food labels, Metric is used alongside Imperial measurements. Also, beer, soda, and other beverages use Metric alongside Imperial. The US obviously does not use Metric for road signs and temperatures in normal situations. If Scientific accuracy is necessary (like space craft with NASA), the US does use Metric. The US tried to switch fully in the 1970s during the Carter Admin, but Raegan ended it later during his own admin.
Isn't the biggest argument that the field dimensions of the world's most popular sport is still derived from feet and yards?
Back in the eighties when I spent some short vacations in France, the local markets still sold goods in poids (pounds). In not sure whether they were imperial pounds or half kilos. Britain switching back to pints and pounds may work for locally produced goods, such as milk and bread, but no importer or exporter is going to set up one production line for the UK and one for mainland Europe. Expect the Scottish Parliament to announce a ban on selling things in imperial measurements.
Why would it be a “welcome” blow, and why would the National (US) Review care what Britain does? The identity/culture wars are killing America.
One thing I learned from living in Europe is that If the English could row themselves and their chunk of their island to the middle of the Atlantic, the rest of Europe would throw a month-long party.
