PBP: UCL - BSC Young Boys Bern vs Manchester United FC - Sep 14, 2021 [R]

Looking at the games until the next intl break, they're pretty spaced out so the need to rest guys is not that necessary and I think it's just overstated this early in the season.
Some guys need mins/games though, hence why there is some rotation.
Just important to lay a marker in the first CL game of the season and start on a positive note. Expect that if we have this game well in hand early enough, we'll see Ole ring the changes. That is the ideal outcome ahead of Sunday's game vs West Ham.

 

I'm not surprised Varane is being rested, he's never been one to play 50+ matches a season. With the artificial turf it's definitely the match to do it.

 

Is it Pogba LW or Donny?

 

Still hate them doing lineups by number order, not your usual GK-Def-Mid-Att format...

If they'd list the players in proper order, we'd know. lol

 

I imagine Donny is in the pivot next to Fred, with Pogs at LW but we'll get confirmation soon enough once the match starts.

With Pefok not starting this one, definitely feel ok with Ole's choice of Lindelof over Varane for this one. Would not have been entirely comfortable at the idea of him being matched up vs Jordan.

 

I am disappointed Martial is not starting. I hope DVB does his thing in a double pivot.
