You can't call him out saying he's not ambitious because he staying but also say he'll play if he stays. Who should have been on the bench instead of him? Why is it ok for other players to be content being squaddies but not Jesse?
Because he never could stand Jesse and will be damned before giving him any kind of credit (or have anything positive to say about him)? This is nothing new...
Things you love to see. Bruno appreciating Dave's heads up and quick thinking distribution on his goal yesterday. 1437399074752323589 is not a valid tweet id
Because other players have a future here Lingard does not. He will only playfor the same reason Matic plays, the manager is clueless.
You can care about your career and the club and still want to negotiate the best deal for yourself. You are a moron if you think otherwise. Jesse will do his best, try his hardest whenever he gets a chance. He doesn't owe the club anything. He's repaid all the wages with his labour. He's never refused to do his part. Jesse has an idea of what is ideal for him. He's probably got thoughts on what ideal at United would be AND thoughts on what ideal elsewhere would be. If he's not going to compete for trophies at United, he probably wants higher compensation and he probably wants to live somewhere he enjoyes. If he's staying at United he's probably going to agree to less playing time, but he probably still wants assurances that he's going to get some PT. If the club can't get him what he wants in terms of game time that's fine, he's in a much better position to make himself happy at his next club if he's free to negotiate. That's like United buying Cavani, begging him to stay and then buying Ronaldo, relegating Cavani to a bench role. That's the game.
Jesse's interplay, movement and pressing are all excellent. He's three times the footballer Dan James is.
What I don't get is on the evidence of the Newcastle game shows how the kid can be used*. He can come in and play at a decent level across multiple positions. Rio was talking about the need to have role players as we look to compete on multiple fronts. I think Jesse could have a meaningful role. This United team have the makings of the past successful teams under SAF. Strong first team and good players coming in to play a role when needed. And the money aspect question, clubs will do what they need to in their best interest. Can't blame the players for doing the same. *I know he is a grown man but he is so happy and pleasant he is like a kid happy to be playing when he gets the call. PS hating on Jesse is like being mad at ole when he was playing the sub role. PPS hating on Jesse is akin to someone enjoying drowning kittens, you asshole
