That sucks man. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully Mrs DnD gets through it with no issues. Personally, I'm sort of in the same boat, but not officially. I bowed out of tonight out of an abundance of caution and a modicum of social responsibility. My wife hasn't been feeling great the last few days. Saw her dr on Tuesday for what is believed to be a sinus infection. Yesterday she mentions to me that she's going to take a half a day today because she's so exhausted "I just can't get through the day". Me: "Mayyyybeeee you should get tested?" Her: "but I don't have a fever, or achy, or loss of sense of taste or smell..." Me: "Yeah, but you're fully vaxed, and that is supposed to mitigate, if not completely eliminate the symptoms" Her: begrudgingly. "Okayyyyy" So a PCR test today for Mrs Po and opting out of HiR for me and my buddy. Gave my tickets to my niece since our seatmates are his sister and sister in law. Fun family outing for them. And hopefully (not likely) a win.
Hopefully, she comes back negative! My main reason for not going is I don't wanna accidentally be a superspreader, even though the CDC directive is that if you are fully vaxxed then you don't need to quarantine.
I totally get it my dude. Was talking to my STM buddy explaining the situation, and his first response was, "You can do what you want, but I'm out". No sense in going and potentially infecting anyone around me. If she is positive, then I'm still in the incubation period and I could very well be infected and not know it yet. So always better safe than sorry. It doesn't hurt anyone else for me to go above and beyond the CDC guidelines. We know that one sure fire way to STOP transmission is to avoid contact with other humans. Very simple. The best prevention is abstinence. Even if it's not as much fun.
Anybody need 2 tickets for tonight? I have 2 tickets in section 239 row 4 seats 5-6. Free to a good home! I just want someone to use them!
Tuesday 9/14 - 3 tickets for sale in Section 123 - Row 10 . $165 - Venmo preferred. PM if interested.
Terrific. The game against Montreal on the 25th has another obstacle: The OSU/Akron game is now at 7:30.
These sold, surprisingly enough, on Ticketmaster for $50/ea, a slight loss on my end, but I figured I was going to be out of luck on selling the full set.
This is the exact type of game that I would in the past look to scoop up 2 cheap/free tickets in the Nordecke and take my daughter for a good weeknight out. Our schedule is kinda tight today but very doable but with the way this team is playing I would watch from my home and save my time/money on this.
