I think the players born after 2000 are stronger than 10 years before tho. Spain has good players with Gavi, Pedri, Fati, etc. but Germany has just as many if not more. They’re mostly only 15-18 so they’re about to break through and still relatively unknown but the list is huge.

this is something I've been saying for ages
1-Most of the talented Germans are 02-onwards aka all below 20.
2-a LOT of unknown as its very hard for people to watch Youth club matches
    3-List isn't small

DFB is in this alternative reality where prospects DON'T exist until they breakthrough pros. So a lot of their doomsday BS is based on this too and on YNT results.....means nothing below U21 anyways.

But even ignoring those that haven’t broken through to pros, Germany already has 4 huge teenage attacking prospects, I mean how many better talents are there in other countries that are better/more potential then Wirtz, Musiala, Adeyemi and Moukoko? Not many imo. Plus Havertz is only 22. Just those 5 would be the envy of many other countries, and as we know there are a ton more coming up. The DFB have no reason to complain about lack of talents.

Bierhoff is a clown who only cares about saving his own ass. And if terrible youth work than why is he still on job, LMAO.

and DFB only cares about world class talents these days ignoring that this was never a Germany thing, LMAO.

Talking about sheer potential given technique / skill....... France has more talents than Germany or Spain coming through.... And I don't see that changing.

posters in this forum very fixated on France and England who gives a shit about either.

France who tied Faroe Islands 1-1 in U21.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Give them a good trainer and see what happen.... If you see these players.... Which I follow also in ligue 1 regularly... They completely seemed lost in the system they played in the national side. If you see them play in their clubs... They perform really well given their age.... And most of them play ligue 1:)

well club isn't NT footy and tons of players do better at club than NT. NT isn't for every player. Yeah because Ligue 1 is lower level than 1BL and Portual league now ahead in UEFA Coefficent. France also has better youth promotion than Germany too.

anyways, what France has or doesn't makes little diff to this thread. No need to constantly bring up France. You seem more interested in French or English youth than anything German which doesn't contribute anything.

Udinese awaits the explosion of Samardzic's talent, now it's up to Gotti to manage the German star

The friendly match on Saturday against Dolomiti Bellunesi showed the star of the young Lazar Samardzic, the Leipzig school talent acquired this summer by Udinese. The opponent was of several lower categories, but what amazed everyone is the vision of the game demonstrated by the former Leipzig, combined with a delicate and polite left-handed with whom he puts the ball where he wants, to underline several filtering balls then wasted by an Okaka still far from the best condition.

Despite the Serie D opponent, Samardzic's talent seems to be indisputable, Gotti has a jewel in the house to work on calmly and then throw it into the fray at the most appropriate moment, but so much talent cannot even remain on the bench for too long. , so now the ball passes into the hands of the Contarina coach who will inevitably have to find a space to allow Samardzic to show his qualities, even to make mistakes, because a young player also needs to make mistakes in order to grow. In this sense, however, the confidence in the management of Gotti is not lacking, just think of how last year he preserved Molina in the first days of the championship, gradually inserting him on the field and then launching him definitively at the beginning of the second round and then not remove it more from the field until the end of the championship: the feeling, therefore, is that the fate of the German gem will be roughly this, that is to settle in calmly and then explode definitively later, but in the meantime it will certainly have chances to demonstrate to be a future star of this team.

The role of Gotti will therefore be fundamental, a mix of patience and courage to better manage the talent of the former Leipzig, to whom a place must also be found from a tactical point of view in the Gottiano 352, perhaps inserting him together with Pereyra behind a single striker, or transforming him into a total half-winger: there is time, but in the meantime, who knows if there will be room for the young Lazar as early as next Sunday against Spezia, in which his talent could already shine at game in progress, Udine is waiting for him and also Gotti, who knows he has a very, very interesting young man in his hands.

DFB.de: Mr. Schönweitz, how do you rate the past ten days from the perspective of the U-national teams?

Meikel Schönweitz: Looking at the results, we can look back on a very successful week. We have ten wins in 14 games and we have been unbeaten in four draws. This also includes the two victories in the U17 and U18 four-nation tournaments. Good results naturally give a boost and, above all, good feedback that what you're trying to do is taking effect. Much more important to us, however, was the manner of the performances, with which we are also very satisfied. So far, we have not had a corona case with seven active teams and some trips abroad.

DFB.de: How do you follow the games in the sideline phase?

Schönweitz: I am on site in all phases of the deployment for different teams and games. During tournaments or qualifying rounds, I accompany the respective teams over the entire period. Since a few games recently ran live, or the U 19 and U 20 were even broadcast on ProSieben MAXX, I was able to watch many games digitally. We also split up in the sports management so that Joti Chatzialexiou and Kai Krüger are also there for as many games as possible. We not only gained a lot of knowledge, but also just watched good football games.

DFB.de: Consistently good results from all teams. How are the performances of the teams to be classified?

Schönweitz: We shouldn't be blinded by bad results, but neither should we be blinded by good ones. We have to keep an eye on the overall situation over a longer period of time and also evaluate the performance and background. When I evaluate a result in a national team, I also have to look behind the scenes. Which team did you come with? Were the top players available or the perspective squad? What phase of the season are you in? What was the focus of the course? What we can currently state is that all the coaches have reported that the guys have started the restart with a lot of joy and commitment and that the performances across all teams can be rated very positively. Even if the need to catch up after the corona pause was clearly visible, we - as of today - have obviously not lost much to the other nations in this phase. The boys and the clubs worked well during this time.

DFB.de: In recent months and years, German youth football has often been heavily criticized. Is it now going in the right direction again?

Schönweitz: That would be desirable. But you have to look very carefully at what has been criticized. We point out again and again that the system that has emerged in recent years does not lead to an optimal use of the talent pool. We are convinced that adjustments will be necessary in order to meet the demands that we and thus all clubs, fans and footballers even in Germany have of our football in an international comparison. To do this, we have to turn a few more screws.

DFB.de: Good results for the U-national teams, five U-21 European champions in the A-national team. Are reforms still necessary?

Schönweitz: A lot has already been initiated at the DFB. We have changed the coaching teams and the scouting, adjusted content, and optimized processes and procedures. Many clubs are increasingly focusing on individualization and are breaking new ground. We have also made great strides in our cooperation, especially with the clubs, so that we can definitely say in this area that we are on the right track together. The current situation shows that we have enough talent in Germany. It also shows that the controversial and constructive discussions of recent times alone have led to some processes having already been initiated and issues being perceived more consciously. Nevertheless, there is still a lot of potential in the interaction of the individual institutions, especially in the prioritization of the priorities for the development of the individual talents. We have a system in which there are still too many ways to prevent talent development.

DFB.de: Can you give us an example of this?
Schönweitz: A top talent in Germany who plays in a U-national team and maybe already trains with the professionals in a club needs a lot of luck and a very stable environment to get into the professional field. These guys have so many contacts and people around them who have an interest in the future of the player that you sometimes forget the needs of the player himself. Stable personalities are often people who can draw the right conclusions from their own experiences, especially their own mistakes who have worked hard to achieve their success and know exactly what is important. These own experiences, these possibilities of error, this development is hardly allowed nowadays. The challenge arises not only in football, but also in society.

    DFB.de: What's next for the U-national teams?
Schönweitz: The coaches are currently giving detailed feedback to the clubs, often also to the players. In two weeks we will meet in Berlin with all LZ trainers from U 15 to U 19 and exchange ideas intensively again. In October it will then continue with competitive games in phases. The U17s will complete their first European Championship qualifying round in Romania. After a total of four European championships (twice each U17 and U19; editor's note) were canceled due to Corona, we absolutely want to enable the boys to participate in the finals again this season and to compete with the best nations in Europe.

Weisshaupt was very very good on his debut, constantly dribbling, good combination play and constant threat in attack.

between Keitel, Weisshaupt and Schade Freiburg has some promising kids. So far only Keitel is U21 involved......that should change soon.

and a lot more promising kids in II/3rd Liga.

Who would Schade ditch for? I know he’s a dual but can’t find his other nationality.

Talking of which, I don’t get why a number of articles refer to Malik Tillman as an American. I know he played u15 for US but he has constantly played for the DFB ever since.
