Kampl with a needless handball, VAR check gives pen. Lewa scores as usual 0-1. Bayern by far the better team so far.

0-3 lol. Musiala assists Sané for a tap in his 1st BL goal this season. Sané is definitely playing a lot better recently, his work rate is very good and obviously playing on the left helps too.
fantastic seeing Leipzig crash and burn. 2 Germans in XI but 0 DFB eligible, ******** this plastic club that contributes 0 to German footy. true story Leipzig could be just above relegation zone based on tomorrow's result, LMAO. that is price you pay for dev/sell BS, at some point replacements will end up NOT good enough or no difference makers.
I wasn't impressed with what I saw from Marsch last season at Salzburg. I don't like his gung-ho style which leaves the team wide open at the back and I don't think he is going to last the whole season. However, the criticism here is over the top and unfair. There are mitigating circumstances and things aren't that bad for Leipzig. They lost away to Mainz who have been brilliant since Bo Svenson took over. They won 28 points from a possible 42 in the Rückrunde. It looks like Svenson is a top class coach so IMO there is no shame in losing at Mainz. Then they lost an away game against Wolfsburg( a team that finished 4th last season, didn't lose any key players over the summer and has started the season superbly) and of course against Bayern there was no way they were going to get a point. Not to mention Leipzig have lost Upamecano, Konate and Sabitzer. They also have a lot of new players(Simakan, Gvardiol, Brobbey, Andre Silva, Moriba and Szoboszlai) that need time to get used to playing together. There are only 7-8 clubs in the world that are not selling clubs. RB Leipzig simply can't compete financially with them because they have to comply with the FFP regulations. It's not like they want to sell their best players. They have no choice. The top players understandably don't want to stay there. Their dev/sell strategy is good for the budget they have. So that criticism is unfair IMO. Red Bull is doing their best. Economically Bayern is light years ahead and is much more attractive to players in their prime. RB Leipzig is not going to have a great drawing power for the elite players in the next 5-10 years so we have to accept the reality. They have a lot of good players that can become difference makers. It is just too early in the season. Their recruitment and philosophy have been very successful over the years. There is no reason to believe that they are going to stop being successful now.
Being runned by a soda company and playing without any german players is just a massive turn off for me as a Bundesliga and German nationalteam fan. From my point of view they are not contributing
The season is too early to pass any judgement toward RB Leipzig. But for German NT fans like me, seeing no German whatsoever in starting XI for club who represent Germany at UCL feels like being stabbed in the back. Maybe they will turn over the condition. Yes that might happen, I agree. However hard to sympathize with this club for me and for @Ger90 for example.
The issue with Leipzig imo is that obviously as a fairly new/plastic non 50+1 club funded by Red Bull they are already breaking many German football traditions. If at the very least they used that position and financial backing to be a powerhouse that could keep most of its best players, regularly compete with Bayern, help boost the BL’s standing in Europe and give a platform to some of the best German players to perform at an elite level without signing for Bayern or leaving the BL, then I could see the point in their existence in their current form. As it is despite their set up they still operate on the pitch in the same way that a lot of the more traditional proper German clubs do, ie constantly buying young foreign players they can sell on for a profit blocking their own German youth and accepting that they cannot compete with Bayern. It’s basically Dortmund without the upsides or tradition (or any NT relevant German players). That goes alongside the fact that Red Bull are not a particularly likeable company, not a big fan of how their F1 team operates either. Don’t get me wrong it’s good for the region to have a big club, however they need to change the way they are run and focus on promoting German talents from the area rather then being part of Red Bull’s global mass player trading network.
Frankfurt still winless, LMAO. A lot of coaches at risk of firing, remainder.....Frankfurt and Leizpig playing Europe too.
Lol at Brazzo and Zorc having a public spat about Reus. https://www.kicker.de/zorc-salihamidzic-sollte-seine-klappe-halten-871350/artikel
And Wolfsburg is 1st in 1BL too Six VfL players delight the U-21 national coach "Hammer": Kuntz raves about Wolfsburg's starting eleven in Fürth VfL Wolfsburg continued their winning streak in the Bundesliga with a 2-0 win against promoted Greuther Fürth. The starting eleven of Lower Saxony delighted U-21 national coach Stefan Kuntz. Ridle Baku, Yannick Gerhardt, Maximilian Arnold, Lukas Nmecha, Maximilian Philipp and Luca Waldschmidt. Six players from Wolfsburg's starting line-up on Saturday in Fürth, which Stefan Kuntz particularly enjoyed. Because all professionals have a past under him as U-21 national coach, they all celebrated great successes under the direction of the ex-striker. "Five U-21 European champions and one U-21 finalist in the starting line-up from Wolfsburg. Hammer !!!", Kuntz signed the screenshot of the VfL line-up from the kicker app on Instagram. Three exclamation marks for six players who are now gathering in Wolfsburg. Gerhardt, Arnold and Philipp won the U-21 title under Kuntz in 2017 (1-0 against Spain), Baku and Nmecha followed suit this summer (1-0 against Portugal). Waldschmidt (like Nmecha) was part of the 2019 team, which was only stopped in the final by Spain (1: 2). However: Waldschmidt was (like Nmecha in 2021) top scorer of the tournament. In Wolfsburg, the sextet now wants to build on the successes in the youngsters, the start of the season could not have gone better. Four games, four wins, VfL leads the table. And that with an eleven that the national coach Kuntz applauds. https://www.kicker.de/hammer-kuntz-schwaermt-von-wolfsburgs-startelf-in-fuerth-871373/artikel
its fascinating seeing crash and burn of Juventus, like Leipzig club is above relegation zone. 2 Milan clubs and Roman clubs look to be doing much better.
While I agree the situation is not great, it is very difficult to see how the other german teams can financially compete with Bayern. We've discussed it before so I won't repeat all the details, but there are some interesting proposals to try to address it. But I just can't see any meaningful change happening.
Poor Jadon Sancho. Just can't get a break under Ole.— Ronan Murphy (@swearimnotpaul) September 14, 2021
After a year and a half hyping him up, several ManU fans are now slagging him off because he hasn't made an immediate impact.
Barca v Bayern first half is like some minnow at home to a big club. Sitting back defending hoping for counters/set pieces. Bayern not having to get out of second gear and still comfortable.
2-0 Bayern. Great shot from Musiala hits post and Lewa puts in the rebound. There is a big gap in quality between these two teams.
