    Quote::

Ferguson did confirm youngster Chris Eagles had been allowed to join Watford for the next three months, where he will join United old boy Danny Webber.

However, he appeared to quash Nigel Worthington's hopes of luring Kieran Richardson to Norwich by stating the only other youngster who could be leaving is David Jones, who earned high praise for his performance in the otherwise immensely disappointing FA Cup draw with Exeter on January 8.

"I have quite a few players loaned out and David Jones might join them depending on how things go over the next two or three days," said Ferguson.

"But apart from that, I don't anticipate any more."

Is Jonathan Spector's Mid Jan. proposed move to Blackburn now completley fallen apart?

I shouldn't look into the quote too much, but maybe Spector won't be loaned out and could see more action soon.

I think the Spector to Blackburn thing is a done deal, just delayed..

But yeah, Spector to Blackburn is just not as exciting as it once was, given their signings (including Nelsen)

And yes, it would seem to be a short-term career setback for Spector if he gets stuck in reserves, and doesn't get loaned out until end of season. Bad career management by ManU in that case.

Even though Sir Alex didn't mention loaning out Spector in his future plans, I guess the loan deal will go through before the transfer window closes. The loan was delayed because of injuries to Manchester United's backline, and during that time Sir Alex promised that he will loan Spector once injuries eases. Blackburn's signing of Nelsen does strenghten their defense, but Spector will give them more depth. Unless Blackburn are no longer interested in taking Spector on loan.

As a loanee, you really don't want to be 'depth'. You want the team you are being loaned to...to have NO DEPTH!

That's true, but I remember the Blackburn manager saying he would like to take Spector to provide additional cover in defense because of Spector's versatility as CB and LB. Maybe the signing of Nelsen has changed the situation.
If Spector goes to Balckburn, but doesn't get to play, I'd rather have him in the reserves for United. I'm sure MU management knows what is best for such talented player.

I think you should really let Ferguson know what a bad job he is doing in this case!

Fergie's done great until now, but if he doesn't work a loan deal and/or play him more between now and May...yes, I would not hesistate in telling SAF that he didn't do a good job in this case.

However, SAF won't be at the Trump wedding... :)

Given that last week two of Rovers' backs were on the BBC team of the week and the other two were on Sky's team of the week, I wonder if Spector to Blackburn makes a lot of sense for Jonathan? Sit on the bench in hopes that someone gets injured? Might as well do that at Man'Ure.

    What are you talking about?

He is 18. Can we give this kid some breathing space? Just because it not "exciting" for you doesn't mean that his time is being wasted

    Sheesh

www.rovers.co.uk has an article about the transfers they've made so far (Spector not among them) and they mention that no other transfers are imminent.

    Hmm.
