That's less than I thought but pre-covid. Wages might settle back down once the extra unemployment pay goes away. But maybe they don't with rising cost of living. I was shopping Tuesday and Giant Eagle was trying to hire in Lewis Center for $11 which seemed hopeless to me but maybe they find enough applicants. The Arby's next door was offering $12. Meanwhile I've seen $15 on the signboard at White Castle and McDonalds. Whatever they have to pay, the Crew shouldn't be taking shortcuts for the team employees who interact with their customers all year (in theory).
Or when they offer the 2020 MLS Cup celebration, which they promised us they'd do when conditions permitted. ...which will probably be around the time they officially open the Experience Center in the Short North. Someone is paying a feckton of rent for a swanky space to be closed. Considering everything else is basically open (if even by appointment), how hard would it be to get an intern down there a few hours a week and make it appointment-only? Since the stadium has opened, it really doesn't make much sense for the original purpose. Turn it into a merch shop and hype 2022 season tickets. Something. Anything is better than the lights off.
Oh snap... their inbox is going to be full! I really hope they are a quality hire (unlike the marketing dept) and do a great job. I hope the team uses the position to truly improve things and keep a good line of communication open with fans. There is a real opportunity here for this to be very productive and beneficial to the team and the fans.
I completely agree, it's a huge opportunity to restore some goodwill. And you're also right about their inbox. And Twittter mentions.
I'm going through the email survey and apparently we get discounts on concessions. Then again, I deleted the app as soon as it converted from the roundel, so I'm sure I'm losing out on that benefit. Pre-sale opportunities is another benefit. Certainly not for the USMNT game, right?
Concessions, really? How? I kept the app (just for mobile ticketing) but don't see anything about discounts on concessions. I do see a mobile food ordering portal, though it's only for a few places and, in general, looks useless.
I used the mobile ordering in the Pub Saturday and I would recommend it. I ordered a fish and chips with a Guinness. They were out of Guinness so they brought me a Land Grant, then 15 minutes later they got Guinness so she gave me that as well. Then cancelled my order. So somehow I got 2 beers and a fish and chips basket for free. But seriously, I ordered waited 5 minutes and got served, it was really nice.
Yes, for the Costa Rica match, Crew season ticket members are in group D instead of the group E general public. Sales seem to be lagging though as they extended it.
* 9. What is the primary reason you may NOT renew your season ticket plan for the 2022 season? The pandemic/COVID-19 in general No longer in budget Direction of team Price exceeds the value and benefits 2021 match day experience Behavior of fans Travel to/from stadium Seat location Sense that you are not valued by the organization Tickets to individual games are easily attainable Too much of a time commitment Inability to resell tickets Would rather watch from home The MLS's stance on social justice Other (please specify)
* 13. How often has a service/team rep reached out or checked in with you during the 2021 season? Weekly Once every two weeks Once a month Once every 2-3 months Never
I thought about sending a "We want to hear from YOU" message back to them.... Adam was a good help early on (got me my ring without a smart phone). But they moved him elsewhere. I think my rep is now a random group. But I have no idea. I think I said that the one thing that would make me consider giving up season tickets was the piped in noise. It's painful. And how are we supposed to claim any discounts without a member card or some such thing?
Costa Rica WCQ tickets are selling so poorly that I got an email to apply because I had purchased tickets to a USMNT game previously.
Wow. When the average price is $265, that shouldn't surprise anyone. I couldn't sleep last night so I did a thing. I have a feeling this won't format nearly as well as I think it should, but c'est la vie. The max revenue from tickets sales for this game is just under $2.9MM. I found it interesting that they did not have the East Field Club seats on the draw. Based on me not being able to sleep, I counted 20,238 seats (subject to human error of course). I wonder if the demand is lagging locally, or if it's nationally lagging. I wonder how it is for Austin and Cincy. Price Point Total Seats Sections $140 5,351 (26.44%) Sidelines & Upper Midfield $85 5,054 (24.97%) Nordecke & Upper South End $115 3,449 (17.04%) Lower Corners & Upper Midfield $95 2,592 (12.81%) Lower South End & Upper Corners $250 1,556 (7.74%) River Club & Rail Club $180 944 (4.66%) East Midfiled $375 924 (4.57%) West Club $400 190 (0.94%) Ledge & Loge Box Seats $475 64 (0.32%) West Field Club Row 1 $425 52 (0.26%) West Field Club Row 2 $700 28 (0.14%) Player's Bench Club Row 1 $600 24 (0.12%) Player's Bench Club Row 2 It did not format as expected, and I'm attaching a screenshot of the formatted version...
Still on pre-sale, they are doing a blind draw. I'm not sure if they aren't selling well or if the website issues are causing delays of the ticket deadline. Would be nice if someone knew.
Is the Crew Pub even open outside of game days? They touted how we would be able to go there as if it was a normal bar and also watch EPL and other league games once the seasons started yet I've heard zero word from the FO notifying people it was now open to do so
