Right, but what I said is correct, a 1-0 is not good enough to guarantee to advance. They gotta aim for a 2-0 victory
PSV get really lucky with the sending off of the Benfica player. It was a marginal YC at best. Unfortunately, PSV's ball rotation with a man up is way too slow. they have no one to blame but themselves if they lose this game.
The coaches of Portugal are really good. The one of Sporting CP did also a post-graduation course on a university. Pundits during half time very annoying and simple.
They couldve played till tomorrow morning and still wouldnt have scored. We always seem to have bad luck against Portuguese teams. Remember Cocu hitting the crossbar in 2006??
Very disappointing result from PSV but they just don’t deserve CL football. They aren’t that good of a team. Zahavi is old and slow. He notches chances and shouldn’t be a striker on any top team in any decent league. How Bruma still gets minutes is beyond me. I don’t know one thing he does good. Zero ball control and no iq. So painful to watch. Schmidt is so smug and thinks he is so much better than he thinks. Can’t stand the guy. Love Madueke and the guy is a serious talent but he hasn’t shown up in either big game. Gakpo is a good game but that was about it. Team was way too slow but can’t blame them with a manager like Schmidt and a striker like Zahavi up front.
PSV MF was very mediocre today. They are OK for the Dutch league but you now see why van Ginkel is back playing for PSV. Sangare is big and stupid. Goetze had no impact on the match. Mandueke and Gapko are both good talents. Max is a fine LB. Hard to know how good Dromel is as he had hardly any hard saves to make today or last week. Agree with @venema20 that Schmidt is not a great coach. van Bommel was better.
At the moment of playing he was clearly not offside. But who knows where UEFA freezes the frame. At 7:30 (in case you can see it). PSV had about three big chances this game. They have only themselves to blame. For about 110 minutes over both ties they had the upper hand (2nd half in Lisbon). On the other side though; PSV had a few more young players in the team than Benfica. Sometimes that showed, like the moment where Madueke loses the ball on a dangerous position and starts a Benfica counter-attack. Could have been fatal. Over both games Benfica had basicaly three chances and scored twice. It's the same old story: Moest hier nog aan denken. Heb de data tegen Portugese teams niet, maar gevoelsmatig zijn die cijfers vergelijkbaarhttps://t.co/M9DkDYdNeU— Pieter Zwart (@PieterZwartNL) August 24, 2021 Benfica has however also a twice as high budget as PSV. Here it is explained why: https://www.vi.nl/pro/waarom-benfica-twee-keer-zo-groot-is-als-psv
AZ game tomorrow wont be on TV: https://www.voetbalzone.nl/doc.asp?uid=392848 But you can watch for free on AZ facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AZAlkmaar
Facebook? I don't support that piece of disinformation. You should be able to find an IPTV channel from the UK as the game will be televised over there.
In the USA they live in an alternative reality, created by Fux/Faecesbook/etc. Just to show how dumb these people are a screenshot of a post today: Koeman showed him a list of future contenders for the RB position = Dutch came after him hard
One team will get really lucky tonight and draw Lille in the group CL stage. I can't remember when a weaker team was in Pot 1. Yes, they did win the French league last season but they have held a fire sale to help balance the books. Will Ajax get lucky? Doubtful.
The chance for a club with squad value less than 500M Euro to win is very very small....Very likely 1 of the 10 clubs that is over 500M Euro in squad value will win. Anything else is considered a Cinderella story. Group 1: Chelsea, Villarreal, Man City, Atletico Madrid, Bayern, Inter, Lille, Sporting Lisbon. Group 2: Real Madrid, Barca, Sevilla, Juventus, PSG, Liverpool, Man Utd, Dortmund. Group 3: Ajax, RB Leipzig, Atalanta, Porto, Zenit St Petersburg, Benfica, RB Salzburg, Shakhtar Donetsk. Group 4: AC Milan, Wolfsburg, Young Boys, Malmo, Dynamo Kiev, Besiktas, Club Brugge, Sheriff Tiraspol
