    2-1 Gakpo. Good!!

It looked like his shot may have been slightly deflected, but who cares

AZ losing against a team with a wages budget of 65 million pounds is no shame.

In many previous years the problem rather was Eredivisie teams losing too often against semi-amateur teams. Because it wasn't taken serious enough.

Didn’t get to see either of the matches other than the last five or so minutes of psv. Figured they must have a good shot in Eindhoven. How was AZ against Celtic? I’m assuming fairly overmatched?

It’s kinda sad to see only 3 Dutch players on Psv lineup.

Even the bench is short of Dutch players!!!

Ajax had 7 Dutch starters last Saturday.

Just a matter of time until he's sold.

Impossible for Dutch teams to compete in Europe when they keep getting plundered by the big clubs

I would really like see him excel using both foot.he does go on the outside but very often. If he can improvise on this, he can become a top winger. Something like madueke. He is fluent going both citting inside and good outside. The Benfica defense tried their best to contain him but he kept beating them with his trademark runs.

3 out 5 came off the bench as sub. Viergever was not in the matchday squad.

    Drommel or Bijlow.

  17. Well, I only watched the last 5 minutes of PSV's f\1st half and the second half. The replays of the second goal showed lackluster arial defense and indecisive intervention after the header by Benficainto the goal mouth.
So I've no clue how PSV played the firts half. The second half showed a PSV dominating Benfica on their own pitch and with some luck they managed to keep PSV from scoring more than one goal.
So it's more a case of unfortune to leave points behind in Portugal.

I also read about the Celtic - AZ match that unlike the score result, AZ had ample opportunities to score against them, but even managed to miss in front of an empty goal.
If the news reports I read from several papers are true this is also a case of unfortunate dropping of coeff. points.

Well, put things right at home guys.

What a bunch of clowns playing for Vitesse. Faking injuries and getting stupid YCs. The were lucky not to have lost today when Rafaelov clanged a PK off the crossbar. They could easily lose the rematch in Arnhem.

PSV and Vitesse are at least in a position to advance.

    Hope springs eternal

Vitesse are anti-football and I hope they get knocked out. Eight well deserved YCs on the night for the team. Keep it up and they won't have any players if they do manage to move on.

It’s crazy that a Belgium team started more Dutch players (Hoedt and Zirkzee) than a Dutch team (Bazoer). Ok…

Kevin Diks now has scored three goals in the europa qualification for FC Copenhagen . scored the opener (2-1) vs Sivasspor. I know he wont be lookd playing in Denmark but playing in Europa will definitely increase his stakes in the transfer market plus being scouted as well.

karsdorp also played full 90 for Roma. 2-1 vs Trabzonspor. why he is not in the NT squad is anyone's guess. I can also confirm he is the most fittest defender right now given what van gaal said selecting players who are fit and ready . Mourinho is doing a good project at Roma. Tammy Abraham being the last high profile signing with another very underrated striker in serie A Eldor Shomurodov. watch out for this guy in Serie A
