According to the story on the MLS website, the refs determined that the field was unplayable.

Well, upon further review. Any previous MLS game that was postponed due to weather considerations has been made up. Did I dream it? Did I mistakenly ingest psychotropic drugs? I'm so confused!

Apparently, the 60th minute goal is credited to Brian White. His shot hit the crossbar and bounced straight down before Gauld tapped it in. Seems like White's shot counted as the ball was deemed over the line before Gauld arrived.

If this result holds, two of the hottest teams in MLS reside in the West. San Jose with a 10 game unbeaten streak (3 wins, 7 draws) and Vancouver with a 9 game streak (3 wins, 6 draws).

After one of the rougher evenings I've had in a while (in 2 hours our elderly cat went from looking pretty good from a recent bout with pneumonia to crossing the rainbow bridge) the Colorado comeback was a needed bright light. We looked awful for most the game but Fraser's subs turned the game on the head for the 15 minutes we needed to get the lead. 3 wins in a week, I can't remember the last time the Rapids did that.

 

Re: Weather Delays / Postponements

Am I crazy or have they been more delays / postponements this season than the last decade combined?

 

********. Another shitty week of MLS already came to an end. I was looking forward to a Sunday MLS Nap. I guess I'll use All-Star festivities for that.

I blame my lousy night for not remembering that the Rapids won their last 3 games of the season last season, all played in the space of a week.

I caught some of that. ******** Ligue1. How the ******** did they want to resume Nice-Marseille? Why the ******** did Marseille go back on the field? Why were there still fans in the stands and "ultras" being talked to?

 

I keep checking the schedule and every time I see this thread bumped I think I missed something.

 

Worth watching for the Marseille keeper's saves as well as the melee.

I'm not condoning what they did but they actually went back to their seats pretty quickly. The security guys did a great job.
