I just felt Spain was a better match up how they have played but hey who knows game was never played lol
Been a fine game overall by our guys but Japan deserved one by now. Haven’t liked what I’ve seen from Montes in this tournament. Vasquez on the other hand has been solid.
México tiene que tener mucho cuidado, si mete gol Japón antes del 90 esto se va a poner muy difícil. Aquí es cuando pesan las burradas de Antuna y el fallo de Martin.
Bronze is a great result and probably accurate in that only Brazil and Spain were likely stronger squads. Just a few better executed PKs away from the final. Vega, Cordova, Montes, Vasquez, Sanchez, Lainez, Antuna…all look like future contributors. Henry played his role, if only he had more goals in him. Great result and takes some of the salt away from the way the summer turned out for the senior squad.
Best U23 In the Americas behind Brazil and bronze to back it up? Qualified through CONCACAF tournament and won said tournament itself. Had an excellent tournament and taking Brazil to penalties (although there was difference in group play - not drastic but noticeable) in this tournament. Muy buen trabajo para todos. Felicidades!
Hopefully a good chunk of these players have great careers and can continue to develop in Europe Props to Jimmy Lozano for taking the team this far. I remember many criticizing and doubting him, but he’s bringing home a medal. Best of luck to wherever he goes coach next
Lo peor de México se vio después del 3-0. Aquí culpo totalmente a Antuna, era un pase de rutina para Córdoba, Antuna es el típico jugador burro que sabes que en el momento importante va a fallar, como pasó contra Brasil...
We medaled and have good players who we know are going to be difference makers at the next level. Good generation, congrats guys.
