Memo had some good saves today. However, he can’t do it all and unfortunately PK saves are not his strong.

Perhaps the FMF can produce some PK altering glasses that will make Memo see Costa Rica players through the lenses.

Frustrating but Brazil played better IMO. We had some good and perhaps even clearer opportunities but unable to capitalize.

Mexico should learn from Brazil in this match. Brazil nunca de la jugada como perdida y no te dejan que té acomodes para salir jugando. They lose the ball and immediately start pressuring and 8/9 out 10 times they get it back in the opponents own territory or in theirs: it doesn’t matter. Mexico needs to get expand on their playing style of solely relying on “técnica” and ball possession. Incorporate some new ideas from current methodologies.

All in all, this was more than many may have expected after the comments Lozano made “Mexico no está entre los favoritos”. Semifinales against Brazil after the CONCACAF qualifying tournament and this tournament is not bad although we should always strive for more.

I will say it again, running is not bad. It’s the ex-sprinter in me.

Good standout performance by Mexican players to be fair.

You can't and i repeat you can't play defensive and hope that along the game you might get a few shots here and there and hope that, that becomes something.

Brazil had the possession and always wanted it from the get go, they were'nt thinking of no damn penalties, they wanted to win right there on the spot

Mexico had really good defense...................................but did not take the initiative to play more offensive when they had to.

Mexico shot themselves with their very own gun and killed themselves by taking it all the way to penalties..................

Im proud of this team, but they had the quality to give just a bit more, but it did'nt happen.
