Umtiti has a lot of nerve after being injured most of the time and playing like crap when he wasn’t. Gtfo.

Sounds perfectly feasible if we’re to believe that Messi has taken a 50% pay cut .

If he’s agreed then it actually sounds unlikely that anyone else would NOT accept it ??

Anyways it’s not a choice thing from what I understand it’s a contractual factor that gives the club the upper hand in these negotiations- it’s something peculiar to the La Liga player’s contracts, apparently

Don’t know where to put this ... Olmo links up really well with Pedri but Pedri just got whacked twice in the first 90 seconds against Argentina ( Olympics)

Because in Messi's case it was a 5-year contract that will extend probably beyond his Barcelona playing days. So it wasn't really a 50% cut.

Totally different for someone like, say, Frenkie or Pedri to accept 50% cut for the next 5 years.

Plus Messi didn't have a contract. Its one thing to sign a new contract that is worth less than your previous contract towards the end of your career. Quite another to reformulate an existing contract that sees your salary get reduced by half. Who would agree to that?

The Tokyo Olympics thread might work.

Verrati alone was like ten times above the whole Barca midfield at Camp Nou. The return leg happened when the tie was already over.

Lol you just hate Koke for whatever reason. Please show me when i post Koke is as good as Xavi:ROFLMAO:. And there is no Koke eat something alive on my post. And the fact you think Koke is one tournament player is laughable.
My whole post simply imply Barca need some strong midfielders, someone to do a walter carrier role. At least that is how you will pair with Pedri and Busquest. De Jong honestly is never a good option for that Spainish duo. Now bet he is still trying to figure it out what his position is.

Keep dreaming about Xavi-Iniesta-Busquest trio level:whistling:.

Listen, I don't know if you are doing this on purpose at this point but you are growing increasingly daft with every post. I don't know whether to be annoyed or impressed.

It's not what you said, it's what you suggested in parenthesis, otherwise why even include it in your post? Xavi once called Koke his heir? What was your point other than to imply how "amazing" Koke is "cause Xavi said so" at a certain point in the past. I am simply using your own juvenile posts against you and now you're flopping around like a fish on dry land. Get a hold of yourself.

Your whole argument makes no sense and it never did. I am not going to rehash the same retort. Go back and read them, slowly. You might actually learn something in regards to reading comprehension.

As far as paraphrasing you, how does it feel? To have your words twisted or even made up on the spot? Not so good is it? I had hoped that you learned that lesson by now until I read the last sentence of your post. I never said anything about Xavi-Iniesta-Busquets in the way you are making it seem, neither have I "hated" on Koke, whatever that juvenile term means, and yet you keep trying to push that argument. Lmao. Some people will just never learn.

A famous quote comes to mind: "Never argue with a fool, he will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience".

Do us both a favor and stop embarrassing yourself or wasting my time any further and stop replying.

I forget what your point is, this discussion is so long. Lol

But Verratti is inconsistent and very injury prone. So he was better for part of one game?. He should be, he is in his prime, unlike Pedri and FdJ.

What a retard. Koke is good not because of Xavi once said he is his heir. That is just one of several praises. You simply hate Koke or anyone like him with passion.
Keep dreaming about Xavi - Iniesta -Busquest trio level. I believe finding a new Xavi, a new Iniesta is easier than a strong/ workhorse player:ROFLMAO:.

Verrati is brillant through out Euro 2020, plus a Ballon dor contender alongside him. Same Pedri, same Busquest but with Koke in their side, not De Jong and they dominated Italy.

The only retard here is you. I suspect you might have been dropped on your head as a baby. I have been posting on these forums for some time now and have never ever come across someone who suffers this badly at reading comprehension.

One can argue, and understandably so, that English isn’t your native language. However, when I repeatedly tell you that I am not saying something that you keep spouting in your retort and you keep doing it anyway that just makes you a pathetic little troll.

You misinterpret, paraphrase, and purely make up stuff as you go. What’s more, you keep repeating stuff that no one ever said. What a sad life you must lead.

Koke will never come to Barcelona because he simply isn’t that good. Do whatever you have to do to mourn this so we never have to hear about this crap again. Run along now.

He not only suggests it, he attests it. Argue with this fool at your own peril. He’ll start yapping about the Xavi-Iniesta-Busquets trio before you even mention anything about it leaving you dumbfounded. Godspeed.

If he does leave then so be it. The agent's for these guys are asking for incredible wages for young players who have talent but haven't yet actually achieved anything.

Haven’t had the chance to get into the details of this case but from the little I have read it seems that these agents are becoming a thorn in the sides of these big clubs and a potential stumbling block for the players in question as well.

Ilaix is a long way from being considered a starter, traded good games with average ones, and is still only 18. I have no clue what they are asking for but considering the aforementioned, the pandemic, and the alleged pay cuts being discussed with the big earners I see no valid reason for playing hard-ball under the circumstances.

He should absolutely not compare himself to Pedri as the latter is much further than he is at this point in their respective careers.

I believe I read (cannot find source now) that Barca is already offering 2M Euros/season (possibly net of taxes) plus incentive clauses that boost that base figure based on performance and he wants 3M. The belief is that an EPL club, possibly Chelsea, has been tapping up and basically promised 3M / season. It is infuriating BUT Barca does the same thing, taps up young players with more money than their clubs can afford. And with his contract up in June 2022, all the more reason to whisper in his agent's ear, family's ear, his ear, about how much you will pay especially if he can leave on a Bosman so no transfer fee. ManU and Bayern are also interested...

I mean transfermarkt is not always right but given his age and performance/promise/"ceiling" he is already rated at being worth 27.5M. Is it wrong that he wants to be paid accordingly? https://www.transfermarkt.us/ilaix-moriba/profil/spieler/617074

So now we’re relying on transfermarkt to determine contractual agreements? This is part of the problem.

So now we’re paying purely based on “potential” as dictated on an arbitrary website and not on actual performance?

What’s more, what has Ilaix actually shown this past season to merit twisting our arm? He’s had a couple good games at most, the rest were just average at best. He’s shown glimpses of being a great talent but that’s about it honestly. Smh.

I mean don’t get me wrong, he’s obviously very talented and I’d love to keep him here but at the end of the day he’s just that; a great talent. Nothing more nothing less. This is more about loyalty than about money, which is far sought nowadays.

You can always earn more somewhere else, that’s the case for many players even in big teams. Loyalty, gratitude, and love for the club is what drives you to make concessions in order to stay regardless. If he’s really THAT good than the money will certainly follow.

Ilaix is at one of the biggest and best clubs in the world, you'd think there would be some desire on his part to play for Barca. I realise that's incredibly naive on my part.
