    Hertha beat Liverpool 4-3.
Hertha XI: 02 CB Dardai (played 68 min)
2nd half: 02 M Dirkner (46 min), 01 CB Morgenstern (22 min), 04 CB Gechter (22 min), 01 CF Wertmuller (poached by Swiss, 22 min), 00 W Jastrzembski (poached by Poland, 22 min)

missing: 01 AM Michelbrink, 03 LB Netz (looks headed out) and 04 W Kade (in II, skipping U19)

-Hertha 1st vs Liverpool 1st was 2-2, good experience for Dardai
-Youth only condeded 1 off a GK bad parry, no blame on 2 young CB pair who actually did well. Jastrzembski really is a speed merchant, lol. Wertmuller's pressing (which looks good in almost all matches) is what allowed for solo winning goal. Dirkner also did well too.

Bobic did 0 for youth at Frankfurt and that was ALWAYS my worry about him at Hertha.....

As far as I was able to find out, the parting is primarily about the lack of perspective, as Bobic would like to sign a new LV / LWB.

what did I say even when German clubs have top talents, 0 interest to integrate. And would rather them rot in II or dump on loan......

that was also Koln's biggest Academy mistake like ever and after that club became more youth friendly and tried to show better perspestive to their own players.

Coach said we'll focus on what we have before going anywhere near outside.

    Gladbach LBs
-Bensebaini currently injured and injury prone.
-Poulsen supposedly isn't convincing in preseason too.

sounds like real chances for Netz and spending $4M=more insentive by club too.

at least with Katterbach and Netz could have 2 00-onwards LB getting a lot of game time in 1BL XI. Another who could breakthrough 1BL is 01 LB Ezekwem at Freiburg. Rest look like 2BL for now or in 3rd Liga-RL-U19.

A move to Gladbach also gets him closer to Senior NT too. Do think likely to get u21 call up, up a cycle too and maybe 2023 Fall plays for Seniors.

Luca Netz before change: Hertha’s top talent wants to go to Gladbach and has been with him for weeks #DieFohlen agree on a long-term contract.@borussia
has after@SPORT1-Info recently an offer at@HerthaBSC submitted. Bills of exchange should be bagged in a timely manner.

A loss from Luca #Netz would be for #Hertha really bad. One of the greatest talents in a position where the competition has stagnated for years. And it would be the next young player with great potential after Lazar Samardžić who does not see his future at Hertha.#hahohe

-With Netz gone from Hertha, could improve chances that 04 LB Ullrich could get chances in 1st.

    -UEFA Conference League.
1.00 CB Bisseck (on loan) continues in XI and his 26th min 10 men club drew 1-1 and are out.
2.01 DM/CB Martel (on loan) XI and his club also out.
3.02 GK Gebhardt on bench as Basel advance to next round.
4.01 CB Voloder (on loan) in XI and his club is out
5.01 W Mamou, 20 min sub and his club is out

LOL, 4/5 eliminated sucks for them but still good experience and 60% of list only on loan anyways.

Bisseck, Mamou, Martel (all 2 caps), Voloder (4 caps)

its good to see Bisseck playing again and injury free after spending 2 years mostly injured. Will be curious to where he ends up in 2022.

    -CL Qualifiers
00 GK V.Muller on bench as PSV advance to next round.

Hertha Berlin by right should be one of the best club in bundesliga in terms of nurturing youth talent. With plethora of immigrant kids in the capital city of Germany, by right Berlin should equal Paris in terms of quality and quantity of potential youth players.

awkward move by Hertha with their ”big city club” ambitions or whatever to sell a huge talent. No logic whatsoever. Maybe it is Netz that demands it being unhappy with his perspectives at the club.

-according to sport1, wonder why no Tillman???
Sport1: Julian Nagelsmann has a lot of confidence in Christopher Scott. Armindo Sieb, Torben Rhein, Josip Stanisic and Lucas Copado can also play a big role in the future, but talent alone is not enough. It is an open question which of them will make it to the first team.

    -Guess who's back to DFB!!!
He is back in the DFB dress: Jens Nowotny completes the coaching team of the U-national teams as the 21st coach. The 48-time national player will be accompanying the 2004 class as assistant coach of the U18 national team together with Guido Streichsbier and Gunther Metz from August 1st.
    https://www.dfb.de/news/detail/nowotny-komplettiert-trainerteam-der-u-18-230290/

-02 CF Hartwig is loan candidate but currently out with abductor issues. Sucks for him that promotion bad. In 2BL=integration in 1BL=loan candidate.

    -on 03 LB Netz.

-on 04 CF Sanogo from his dad.
DFB.de: Your son Malick, who plays in the U19s for 1. FC Union, is considered a great hope for the next generation of the Iron. Does he have what it takes to follow in your footsteps later?

Sanogo: What he has achieved so far is very good. I think he can turn pro. Malick embodies a modern striker, is fast and has a special eye for goal. So the prerequisites are not bad. (laughs)

DFB.de: Would you like to train him or would that be difficult for the father-son relationship?
    '
Sanogo: I worked a lot with him privately as an individual trainer. It wouldn't be a problem for me to coach him as a team coach. He has the will, is ambitious and wants to go up. That's what matters.

DFB.de: During the preparation, Malick was already gathering professional air against Eintracht Braunschweig. What else does he have to learn to get to the top?

Sanogo: It was a good chance for Malick to show himself. He must not only rely on his qualities, but must also get a feeling for entering rooms at the right time where a goal hazard could arise.

-03 CB Mbi training with Bayern 1st today.

    -Koln coach says,
With a squad of 22 players, 1. FC Köln will go into the last friendly against Roda Kerkrade on Saturday. "All positions are occupied twice," says Steffen Baumgart. The coaching team initially decided to delegate the young players such as Jens Castrop, Philipp Wydra, Meiko Sponsel or Marvin Obuz back to their teams (U 19, U 21). Baumgart, however, emphasized that everyone in this group would train with the professionals again and again in the future. So the bond remains, but the young "billy goats" should first get their playing time in their teams.
    https://www.kicker.de/baumgart-wir-werden-sehen-wie-weit-wir-sind-866905/artikel#twfeed

interesting how 02 W Lemperle never listed in any of these articles.
03 M Castrop still young and did spend good chunk of last season injured. 02 RB Sponsel should get chances during season. 02 W Obuz still has interesting skill set and injuries bound to happen to 1st teamers. 01 M Strauch and 04 attacker Diehl due to injury left 1st camp earlier but this likely also applies to them. And a 02 M Schwirten is one who 1st chances more likely in Winter 2022 camp or Summer 2022 camp.

as mentioned before Koln youth who aren't established usually get 1st XI in matchday 9ish MIN. So shows that its not initially in season but later on.

01 M Holtkamp moving from 1BL Bochum (no II) to RL with buyback option.

Sebastian Schindzielorz, Sport Director of VfL Bochum 1848: “We wish Lars every success at the BSC. For a player his age, game practice is an essential element of development. We couldn't have offered him this match practice. But we will follow his path closely. For this reason we have anchored an option to bring him back to VfL. "

maybe I'm optmistically delusional but no one else feels like
Rhein, Wirtz, Netz, Musiala, Adeyemi,Moukoko, Copado, Sieb, Ibrahimovic, Raebiger, Bischof, Collins, Dardai, Samardzic, etc (LONG list, won't name them all)

    could be Germany's next
Kroos, Ozil, Muller, Hummels, Boa, Lahm, Gotze, Klose, Podolski, Basti etc. Doesn't have to be 1 for 1 replacement either.

feels like we are in that 2004-2010 period when these players brokethrough. or started too do so.

but I forgot talentless Germany headed for doomsday and at level of Maltas of Europe

ironic considering that back in 2000-2006 so so much negativity around Germany just like now, lulz.

nice 04 CB Janitzek will make his RL/adult XI debut has 2 caps both subs.
1421100583004614659 is not a valid tweet id

so now Aydin, Wenig, Kabadayi, Janitzek all have XIs in RL vs adults while still U19 eligible for another 2 years.

only missing Copado and Brekner for 04s. Copado still out from thumb injury (before that was spending majority of his time with 1st anyways) and Brekner is LB and no space for him in II in that position.

crazy to think that Aydin, Wenig, Kabadayi, Janitzek and Copado all went from U17 back in Fall 2020 to RL vs adults in Summer 2021.......Wenig and Copado also got to play vs Adult pro team like Koln, Ajax, Gladbach too.

topic of German physicality and height FIXATION and ruining chances continues to be a thing in Germany.

LMAO he turned 15 in May 2020 so was barely 15 in Fall 2020. Wanting to ditch players at 15 who can still grow and improve physically......yikes.....now 16.

on 05 AM Yildiz, a Bayern player I mentioned bunch of times too. Not too sure about one of best 05s, time will tell.
"The club were going to release him because they thought he was too small and weak, then quarantine came, he did a lot of gym work, grew and gained weight (183m & 74kg now) and now they really want to extend with him. He and his family don't though. One of the best 05s in Germany now that he caught up physically.

His parents talked about it with much certainty. They also recently separated from Roman Rummenigge and are evaluating proposals from other agents to aid a move. That's what I can say is the state of affairs for now.

The club are not hesitating or slacking in trying to get him to sign an extension though.

First he will play this U17 season with Bayern to regain what was lost last season. Then his family will look at their options domestically and abroad before making a final call. They've already turned down Juventus for the same reason they intend to leave Bayern in the first place - they believe they have a better path towards pro football at a club 1 or 2 classes below Bayern where he would actually be considered a real option for the First Team and be shown a path to it. Which is not something they believe is possible at Bayern."

-Another person, makes me think dfb ignored him (Turkish father and German mom) due to same shit "too small and weak"

"I can well imagine that. However, it would be a shame to lose it after the development of the last 18 months.

But a lot can still happen before his contract expires on June 30th, 2022. Ultimately, I believe that he still has a certain amount of anger in him because he was viewed more and more critically by many because of his physique and not a few prophesied that he would lose the connection. He has a similar displeasure with the DFB, which has not yet invited him to a course, although a double course recently took place again in which many of our 2005ers were there who are certainly no more talented than him.

It must also be said that his parents are not entirely wrong with their attitude. In its year alone, Bayern has two other great offensive talents, Ibrahimovic and Wanner. It will also be difficult for Bavaria to show all of them a corresponding perspective.

In the end, it could be a story similar to that of Lasse Günther, who also preferred the perspective in Augsburg."

Yep, imo hard not to be optimistic as some of these talents are already making good progress v adults or at the very least training with them, and are making very good impressions on coaches /team mates etc.

Of course still a long way to go in terms of development to get to the level of that generation, and obv not 1 for 1 replacements, but one thing that is encouraging is that there is a wider spread in terms of variety of positions, unlike 04-10 it seems there are many CF's not just 2-3 and also more FB's and W's too.

he still close to 1st team, Rose officially confirmed it and also a long season. Will still likely get game time in 3rd Liga throughout season.

    Marco Rose
"We will work with Ansgar Knauff to ensure that he develops in this direction," explains Borussia's new trainer.

    a comment,
"The first one travels back on the weekend so he only misses 3 days of training and gets a competitive game with the U23. After that, he can still train with the pros for a week until the cup game. I wouldn't over-dramatize this now."

    Just from list,
Wirtz, Moukoko, Musiala, Adeyemi, Dardai=already brokethrough as well.

Rhein, Netz (semi-brokekhrough), Copado, Sieb, Ibrahimovic, Raebiger, Bischof, Collins, Samardzic all knocking hard on door to do so.

but yes a TON more CF prospects emerging and a lot of AM/W too. Even CBs and fullbacks next gen is where more likely to find quality players in those positions.

sticking point is GK of course. 00-onwards has a lot of promise but opportunities in Germany poor. At least we have 00 GK Mantl who is #1 at RB Salzburg.
