i believe he has a child and a family though. still does not compute to me. it's not even like Wolves are paying PSG level wages to say maybe it's that
Zardes finally with the go ahead goal, once again with little time left on the clock. Will give this team this much at least: if nothing else, they are resilient and will keep trying until the end
Canada took it to Mexico tonight and probably could have won had they had their two best players in Davies and Davids. With all the trash talk towards the end this could turn into a nice little rivalry during this years WC qualifiers.
BREAKING: Manchester City have made a £100,000,000 bid for Jack Grealish. (Source: Telegraph) pic.twitter.com/c8PArEGvq6— Transfer News Live (@DeadlineDayLive) July 30, 2021 Decision time for Villa and Grealish.
They are still paying good wages. Its probably the only thing he has ever done. If he retires early, which other job will he find paying similar? You said it, he has a family he has to provide for.
he also has one to live for. i'd understand it more if he was 21/22 like Ryan Mason but he's 30(?) now. i wouldn't do it. no way and i don't get why people offer Čech as justification. he wasn't competing for headers or a physical striker. like i said i hope it works out
If City actually made a bid of 100 mil for Grealish, Villa should bite their hands off at that deal. Grealish is a good player, but theres no market in the world where he costs 100 mil.
Der Spiegel has leaked David Alaba's contract with Real Madrid. The Austrian will earn over €115m over the length of his 5-year contract (€19.47m fixed wages/year). Alaba got a signing on fee of €17.7m as a free agent. Zahavi got €5.2m as a commission - Alaba's family €6.3m— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) July 30, 2021 Those 'side deals', brokerage fees what have you, involved in transfers nowadays are just a trip to me. Especially in how it's clear that they are very poorly regulated. It appears that starting next year, new regulations will go into effect stating that agents will be allowed to take only 10% of their clients transfer fees/values, which is normal and how it should be. But no doubt they'll continue to come up with new and creative ways to get ridiculously paid from those deals... Also with numbers such as these, we really shouldn't be surprised to see more and more high level players (with the backing or their agents or/and in this case family) electing to run down their contracts, so they can become free agents and earn these huge paydays, with all these bonuses and extra clauses...
European Super League: Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus to carry on with breakaway plans | Football News | Sky Sports No wonder Perez (along with his acolytes Agnelli and Laporta) was feeling pretty smug despite their setback a few months back. And as expected, they're going to keep plotting and will come back some day with a new plan. Like it or not, this was always far from over unfortunately...
📝 DEAL DONE: Aston Villa have signed Leon Bailey from Bayer Leverkusen subject to a medical and personal terms being agreed. (Source: @AVFCOfficial ) pic.twitter.com/ZL1FwuRpUb— Transfer News Live (@DeadlineDayLive) July 31, 2021 Well done from Villa to complete 2 important pieces of business, prior to potentially losing Grealish. They might go for someone else prior to the window closing (still talk about JWP being a target) but they won't be desperate to replace Grealish at this point (and can sit on the money until Jan or even next summer). With or without Grealish, Villa will be a team to watch this season.
Kane will insist on joining Grealish in Man City move with crunch talks at Spurs next week - @mcgrathmike and @JPercyTelegraph have all the latest https://t.co/0o4FevPtbC— Telegraph Football (@TeleFootball) July 31, 2021 And unfortunately, I think it's likely to happen. And while I don't necessarily like it (in terms of what it will do to the league), the fact remains that for him personally (and the sake of his career) Kane frankly would be a fool to stay at Spurs one more season at this point, with them no really going anywhere. As far as City are concerned, if they have any real designs in Europe particularly, Grealish alone probably wouldn't be the answer (or enough) for them. Remains now to be seen who will be shifted: even if they don't care about it (or the fact it's more relaxed now), FFP is still a thing and the books needs to be balanced somewhat. Not to mention, some guys surely will be eager to leave anyhow: my money is still on Bernardo, one of Sterling or Mahrez and possibly Laporte. And again, based on how he spent the Bale money, it would behoove Levy to consider a player or two from that quartet, plus cash for Kane. They could use any of them, if we're being honest... Kind of crazy in a sense, when we see United actually pull their finger out and deliver what looks like a very good summer thus far, only for City to respond with "hold my beer"...
Looks like we might see Milenkovic in the Prem after all, with talks between Chelsea and West Ham hitting a stumbling block over a move for Zouma. #WHUFC's centre-back search continues....— Sky Sports Premier League (@SkySportsPL) August 1, 2021 Perhaps we'll get to see if he's really all that...
Doesnt look good; https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/arsenal-thomas-partey-injury-update-24664302
Underdogs against a pretty strong Mexican team for sure. Turner who has been nothing short of fantastic in this tournament will probably need to have another blinder. The team will be pumped up, no doubt but then again, so will El Tri.
Just when it looked like we were heading for a shootout, Robinson finally scores with 3mins and change left in this one. At last a good finish following a collection of misses on both sides. And for the 3rd game in a row, a late goal is enough to give them the win. The US are Gold Cup 2021 winners! CONCACAF double (vs Mexico!) after winning the Nations League earlier: not a bad summer for the boys!!! Turner needed to be huge and he was: Player of the Tournament for the US, for sure.
He warned Spurs prior to the Euros with that very public GNev interview and they seem to have ignore it completely (judging by Nuno's comments). So this is not surprising in the least. The media fallout should be interesting though. Side note, let's see Pep try to plead poverty ever again: all know he was full of it (once again) but when you understand what they've spent and what they're about to drop this summer alone (I believe effectively pushing Pep's spending over a billion at this point), it takes balls to make statements such as these...
Let @paulpogba not turn up for @ManUtd training and see how the English media and fans go mad! Helicopters & police forces out searching his location immediately 😂#kane #PremierLeague #FootballNews— Rio Ferdinand (@rioferdy5) August 2, 2021
