Hmm, US letting the ball bounce round in the box. Too chaotic.

US waiting until the ball gets to midfield to pressure Australia. It has been working.

Well getting 1 point are I would say much more important than getting 3 for both teams.

US not patient enough when they gain possession.

How is Australia winning every header in the US box?

Beautiful goal coming back for offside. Morgan offside. I think she was onside. VAR...

After a long VAR, the decision stands. I don't like it. The image we saw was not great.

Yeah. One point, probably, puts both teams through. The US would be in second place in the group while Australia would drop to third but four points probably goes through.

Playing for a tie would be a bad mistake at this point for both teams.
Morgan did just score a good looking goal but it was called offside so it is still 0-0.

Yes it would, I just think none of them are inclined to take much risk to score. They will try to do so without exposing themselves.

Well we now know what it takes to get a yellow card in this Tournament.

Sweden was never in any real danger of losing. Yes a huge upset can happen but NZ is not good enough at all to hang close enough to a team like Sweden to really have a chance at the upset.

Even if US wins, the issues we saw in first match with players not moving into space and lack of accurate passing remain. Even if each side want to play it safe, neither are that convincing in terms of quality and speed of play.
