75MM buyout clause next season, if we can develop Chiesa and Kulusevski as the widemen, CR7 salary is off the books next year as well - assuming Dybala is not re-signed then a lot of salary room available?

Our interest in him before he broke out should hopefully prove as a club he would have our trust. Extremely unlikely to happen, but that attacking trio would be spectacular.

His management team seem to use a stepping stone approach. RB Salzburg to Dortmund. Even if his end game is the EPL or Real/Barca, he is not yet 21. If we set a new Buyout clause thereafter at 120MM, he can come to Turin for a years, few grow as a player and then go see the grass is not greener on the other side (ala Pogba/Morata before him)

As much as it hurts to say, this is a very good point. We could be a great step in his career and the possibility to win a lot of trophies before going to Real/Barca/Bayern/United:sick:/Citeh:sick:

We were so close to re-establishing ourselves until COVID hit.

Frabotta is off to Atalanta, they're finalizing the details.

Even so Haaland would be a perfect fit playing for Juventus

I suggested the same thing back in March.....

They should always point to signing a young goal scorer….

Atalanta fended off a Genoa bid for Frabotta, looks like the deal will close soon with a loan and option to buy.

Juve has told Barca that Dybala isn't for sale.

Pjanic wants a return to Juve and it could happen by the end of the window, there's a good possibility that him and Barca will terminate his contract and he will move on a free, but Juve want to pay him less than he's asking.

Am I misremembering Pjanic ( who I like) being horrible toward the end the last time that he was here?

Pjanic was always average, and yes he was awful his last couple of seasons here and didn't even play with Barca. Dunno why Allegri wants him back, I've said it before hes a useless player especially in the role Allegri wants him in (yes useless is hyperbole, but the dude just isn't that good)

But whatever, if hes free and takes a significant pay cut its not a big deal, we could do worse.

He's 31 though, don't see the point in signing him tbh.

He can at least score free kick goals, unlike CR3.5.

Would be nice to score a few of those again.

I have a bridge to sell you if you think Pjanic will be taking free kicks over Ronaldo

Season hasn't even started and Dybala is already injured.

Nothing serious but man this dude has had some issues lately. Are we really going to give this dude the contract he wants? I dunno man, doesn't seem worth it.

    Serious question.

Who DO you think should be on the team?

It would be nice if CR 1.75 would come to the realization that he can only score from the spot, his set pieces are no longer feared for their sheer velocity or a threat. But would he whine and cry if someone else was assigned to take them?

Rumors that Juve will reportedly propose Bernardeschi in exchange for Damsgaard from Samp, or Berna + Frabotta for Gosens.

Berna is on the market

Either of those would be good moves for both parties.

berna needs to move to restart his career. Frabotta needs PT.

Gosens would be an upgrade for us and Damsgaard has real potential.

There are reports that Chiellini wants a pay rise to 5ME (up from 3.5) and a 2 year contract.

    How about no.

Disappointed in this move, I get he needs playing time but he could be a good young alternative option. Not sure if eligible, but he may also qualify as homegrown for UCL squad list as well.

Promising young Italian, on low wages and still re-sellable in a year or two if not developing as hoped.

Agreed on Bernardeschi, had such high hopes for him when signed, but just has regressed and seems a player devoid of the confidence that made him a potential world class player.

Frabotta would keep as per previous post.

Gosens is very good player in 5 man backline as a wingback, if we changed systems for him that would be a stretch. Personally I would not be averse to a back 5 with our existing personnel Alex Sandro and Cuadrado better able to function in it and then deploy Chiellini, Bonucci and De Ligt all at once. Tuck it Rabiot and Bentancur into the midfield but that would cause issue with the front 3 system.

Damsgaard has real potential but I'd like to see Chiesa and Kulusevski be given larger roles this campaign. Damsgaard would be too much for now.

I am no fan of Icardi, but I can see why this could be hugely financially beneficial and even positive on the field for us.

CR7 for Icardi straight swap, saves us about 45MM euros on wages (think CR7 is on 60MM euros gross versus Icardi on 15MM euros gross) next year, plus instead of losing CR7 on a free we have control over Icardi (a pure finisher, who will not dare try to take all freekicks) who is probably worth 30-40MM euros.

If Icardi starts for JUVE he gets 20+ goals, so come 2022 we have 75-85MM euros more available (assuming we then sell Icardi), plus major room on the wage bill (CR7 gone in 2021, Icardi gone in 2022 and possibly Chiellini/Dybala wages off the books too if they choose to leave/not re-signed).

Haaland release clause is 75MM euros and we would be in a position to meet wages as well. Even if we don't chase Haaland, we now have 75MM euros to spend on players and wages freed up.

This works because PSG pays no fee for CR7 whose wages they can meet and we don't have to accept a 'book' loss on CR7 by receiving Icardi instead of allowing him to leave on a free.

Ideally, if we could do a swap with PSG for someone else, maybe Verratti (dreaming here) with a bit of an add-on fee, CR7 off our books and a saleable player will greatly help us in the medium term.

I cannot quantify the marketing contribution of CR7 so that may significantly move the dial on any prospective operation though.

Saw that. Love Chiellini, but agree he is fully a veteran now and if it was highly likely he could stay fit, yes would do that deal. However, his injuries are piling up naturally and he cannot play twice a week as we will need him to. I'd though be OK to offer 2 years at 5MM total - he can definitely make more money than that and I would not blame him for leaving to take that BUT we should not be doing that deal he wants.

The deal hasn't gone through so for now he's still a Juve player. But it seems hes on the market so I don't expect him to be here by the end of the summer.

Frabotta is going to be a loan, it’s almost done.
