Ok. Up by 3. New Zealand subbing. Rapinoe (looks tired) and Ertz should come out.

We really do need subs at least four of them.

It's like the WWC all over again for poor, poor Abby Erceg.

The U.S. bailed out of another defensive breakdown by a dodgy foul call. That looked like a shoulder to shoulder challenge on replay.

Good subs. Lets take out our most effective forward and our slowest forward. One good sub is better than I expected.

I'm not sure I would even call that a defensive breakdown.

Geez. That was sloppy. New Zealand gets one.

What a spectacular miskick from Dahlkemper and then nearly a penalty conceded for that to become an easy goal. Naeher should have also been better in that situation.

As I’ve said for years. Abby is a mess and has been involved with every goal against us this tournament and really almost every goal against at the WC.

Now *that* was a defensive breakdown.

Lazy defensive recovery gives NZ a goal. This is as bad as the loss to Sweden if we do not win by at least 4.

Defensive breakdown. Starts with a missed clearance then standing around.

Keystone Kops defending there. Wow. To be fair, New Zealand was almost due a goal at this point.

It's one thing to endlessly pour forward to try and run up the score, but on the other hand, championships are won with defense and protecting leads. I'd like to see this team show it can actually hold and protect the ball and run out the clock.

And two midfielders tracking back. Dahlkemper made a hash of things, but where the hell were Davidson, Sonnet, and Dunn?

We are playing stupid and therefore we are not really controlling the match. It is a good thing we are playing NZ. Playing like this against Australia will result in another loss.

With third in the other groups being on 1 point and the matches in the last round I think 3 points is enough and the USA & Australia are through but still
