We lost 2-1 to Cruz Azul but we didn't go as try hard with out starting lineup as they did. Game was 1-1 before the wave of substitutes started coming on and then Cruz Azul scored in the last 5 mins. Not a terrible result with a mainly alternate squad. They're saying Nico scored a golazo and that Bryan Gonzalez almost scored one also.
Jose Castillo (U20 fullback), Fernando Alvarez (U17 centreback), Bryan Gonzalez (U20 attacking mid / left attacker), and Illian Hernandez (21 yo striker), are on the official squad on the Liga MX website. Didn't know you could sign up 27 players on your official squad. Also Pablo Lopez is back from his loan spell. Can't believe that dude is still just 23.

Luis Chavez no era jugadorazo antes de jugar bajo Pezzolano, Herrera Equihua parecía muralla cuando jugó el torneo pasado y el Pinche Tony iba que volaba para la liga de expansion antes de la era Pezzolano. Been watching most of the U20 games this season. Results-wise they're not doing amazing but we do have some quality players there ready to get some first team attention. Bryan Gonzalez ya esta empezando a jugar, Rodas el arquero y Fer Alvarez un central de 18 años entrenan 100% con el plantel profesional. El primo Hernandez a mi gusto es un jugadorazo. No venia jugando en las primeras jornadas pero inició los pasados 2 partidos y tiene un pase al nivel del Guti pero con mucho mas motor. Y tambien hay otro que le robamos al Oaxaca que se llama Emmanuel Quezada que tiene una función similar a Erick Aguirre. Lo usan de lateral o de contención. Those are the most notable players on the U20 right now IMO.
Otro partidazo del primo Hernandez en la liga sub20. Unfortunately those games are a mess and active training grounds so you see a lot of MLS-level mistakes. Which means you can't really rely on results too much. But there really are some good players on that team. Si se hubieran dado los pinches resultados con el plantel profesional tal vez ya hubieran debutado mas.
Honestly that Profe Bueno dude from twitter has become an unhinged troll ever since his lord and savior Pezzolano crumbled. I rooted for the guy also but the team has gotten worse with him over these 2 years. No reason to keep him.

Hearing that Ormeño move might be for de la Rosa. I mean both our strikers sucked badly last season, no denying it. But between Ormeño and de la Rosa I'd rather just stick with the academy player tbh. If they're going to invest in a striker, they should actually invest.
Wow Garces is out as well. I hope it's a huge lesson to Martinez (who has his brother as chairman) that nepotism can really ruin an institution. I know they love giving in-house talent a chance but geez man they have to be qualified.

Omar Perez Diaz did a live on twitter and said the 4 options being discussed right now for director deportivo are Ojitos Meza, Paco Gabriel de Anda, Andres Chitiva, and Rafa Marquez Lugo.
None of them appear to be interesting options imo. I would try to bring back westerhoff or someone like that
It's probably one of the busiest positions in the business. So they probably need someone really young. They were even saying that to fill that void well enough, they might get two guys to share the workload.
