I did. When I saw he was the new interim coach I said "Wait, wasn't he on the Rapids at one point?", and went to his Wikipedia entry. I did not remember the year, the trade that got him, or that he never played for us in a match but I remembered he was on the roster.
Hey, I resemble that remark Remember, I spent the pandemic pause in last season running series of blog posts about who was the best player in Rapids history to wear each number. So I literally saw every single Rapids player's name who made a final roster with in the last year.
Bouna Coundoul is the new head coach of New Amsterdam FC, of the NISA https://www.prnewswire.com/news-rel...r-bouna-coundoul-as-head-coach-301337431.html
Steve Cooke was just named head coach of the Sounders U-17 Academy team https://www.sounderatheart.com/thef...12/sounders-academy-staff-continues-to-evolve
You have to think he burned a bunch of bridges here. It seems crazy to me that no MLS team, or even a USL team for that matter, would make him an offer. The Finnish league is a big step down from MLS.
Good article about Valentino and how he was up to sub into a Rapids match as a time wasting sub in stoppage time, only for the ball to not go out of play until the final whistle. That's as close as he got to a MLS appearance. https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/meet-rob-valentino-atlanta-united-s-ted-lasso-esque-interim-manager

Don't look now, but Benezet has already scored more goals for the Sounders than he did for the Rapids...
Just imagine how many he could've scored for us if we played defenses that were basically like "H-hey, please come back here Mr. Attacker, pretty please." as he trots onto an easy 1v1.

Vines is making his debut and first start today. He’s in the lineup for a very important Europa League playoff (1st leg), on the road no less, vs Cypriot club Omonia. The winner of the two-legged affair qualifies for the Group Stage of the EL. Big chance for Vinesy to show what he has. Lots of trust being thrown his way. That’s great to see. Omonia also is the home of former USMNT player Mix Diskerud.
