Feels like a lot of passes are misweighted. More under hit than over hit, but it's disrupting the flow of attacks, I think.
The block and his leg hitting it was one continuous motion. This is nothing like a trap and a poor clearance -- at all.
I agree with Stu Holden. Busio and Williamson are fading late in this first half. They need to snap out of it.
He plays like this this cup, hes a top 4 central defender. Period. The versatility also helps him on any rhetorical 23
Hoppe though. Good lord is he showing some quality. He comes all the way back to get the ball. And he turns to move it forward.
Don't agree about the perspectives vis a vis Robinson. He's stepping up quick to put out fires and outside of 1 misplay that didn't even count, has been smooth with the ball. Could be more positive, but he's evading pressure and playing out when they come at him, which is a big asset in the style of today. Sands has impressed well, both on the ball and on d. Very calm and positive playing out the back. And defensively he's been extremely alert. Next level i.q on d & o. Obviously if there's an issue it's mobility. He might have gotten bailed out once or twice on mistakes that were a byproduct of that. If there's been a weak spot at the back, it's been Zimmerman, not taking the space in front of him, constantly passing the buck. He doesn't have speed to play out wide. And he's blown some scoring chances. He's winning the defensive battles in tight spaces, but that's all he's been good for.
You guys are complaining about Williamson and Busio taking too many touches...but that happens when you have young guys that can beat the first guy that runs at them; you have to let them play them through it and learn to temper it.
