Used the “Norwood Lateral.” Ohio St Rt 562. Connector from I 75 N to I 71 N. Much gratitude to a FC TidePod fan for the exit strategy suggestion.
The concourse totally goes all the way around, it just directs you out some doors to go around the club.
Hmm, all the signage and foot traffic I observed indicated otherwise...which seems to be a primary complaint even on the WS Cincinnati Reddit board.
It looks odd for sure,(not that I was reading signage) but everyone I saw was just walking through the doors to the outside walkway.
I've never been in Paul Brown stadium other than the Team Shop but, assuming you can circumnavigate its lower concourse, this makes TQL the only non-circumnavigable major pro* sports venue in Ohio. *issued the "pro" caveat since I don't know if you can go through the South Stadium concourse at Ohio Stadium with a ticket in the horseshoe (never tried) and I've never been to any UC or Xavier facilities.
Glad I didn't go, then. Four-tenths of a mile away sounds like where I;d probably try to buy a spot in advance. Do you remember the name of the lot? Looking to avoid it if I attend a future away Hell is Real.
I don't remember seeing names; they went by addresses. I found it on BestParking.com . The same company had access to both lots. The one I missed out on was at 1014 Elm St. When that one was full, I called their number, and the guy on the phone used my credit card that I used earlier to book me a spot in another lot nearby, I was able to AppleMap it there, and he refunded my money for the first one. I ended up at 908 Plum St, just around the corner. I think it made my walk about five minutes longer, but I just made it.
Depends how you define being able to circumnavigate the venue. Yes, you have to pass through doors and walk “behind” the west side club section, and you are “outside” of the seating area rather than under or within it, but you can circle the stadium in 360 degrees. Not like the “lower concourse” of HCS where you can’t walk under the north end but have to circle back.
They're gonna have to reprice some of these sections on the east side next season. The south stands are sold out. I think if you drop it even 10 bucks or offer deals for like a family 4 pack, they'd do much better.
I noticed the Tuesday night match against Redbull on Sept 14th? has $34 tickets in the south end. That’s quite a bit less than the $49 tickets those seats are typically listed at. I agree the east side needs to be adjusted next year.
I think (or at least I hope) prices will come down a LITTLE once the new stadium shine comes off. But yeah -- tickets in the back row of the upper bowl for $75 each? No thanks.
This is how it should be. Now that we are all digital the FO could in theory lower prices to increase attendance at the risk of pissing off some people who paid a little more for the same section.
I think DC did stuff like that when their new stadium opened. Day of some ticket prices were reduced to try and pump up attendance.
I made this once single match tickets were announced. Premium games are Opening Match, NYCFC, Seattle and Cincinnati. Discount matches are 9/14 Red Bull, Orlando and Chicago. The Discount matches had pricing similar to the STM pricing per seat. Personally, I think with a $5-10 per match drop next season across the board (Other than Nordecke) the pricing would be in much better shape.
The single game pricing is frustrating on a couple different fronts. First, it's pretty pricey in comparison to HCS. That said, my impression from the first game is LDC is 125% better than HCS, so an increase is definitely justified. As others have indicated, though, the pricing for the 2nd level on the main sideline is more than I can stomach ($67 for section 232 top corner). I'm not sure what the sweet spot is, but at least for me that isn't it. The other, and probably more frustrating, part are the fees that get added on to your order. I've worked in box office before, so I know these are inescapable (though can be less with a non-TM vendor), but after fees my $67 tickets above would become $80. Where perhaps I bite the bullet at $67 per seat, it's a lot harder to rationalize $80. Most of this might just be me being cheap. I totally understand and recognize how much better LDC Field is than HCS and am willing to pay more. It just feels to me like they went too far with some of the increases, especially along the main sideline stands. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
