I'm just imagining what players, and their clubs, would be willing to go to play with a team full of other American youths wearing Schalke kits for a day (or days). Especially now that they're in the 2.BL. Maybe there will be some U-15 MLS kids mixed with some guys from Orange County FC, for example; that's my first thought, anyway.

Build it and they will come (new academy complex).

Unfortunately, all the scouting brains are fleeing the Titanic, i suspect this is just an attempt to cast a wide net and hope you can catch something instead of using scouting brains.

And now that undersized midfielder is a fast 6'3" striker and Alvarez is still as toll and fast as he was at 14. Some coaches can't seemingly figure out that kids not necessary stop grow in middle school.

I think the idea is to sign a couple of guys on a free and hope (Hoppe?) they develop enough to sell for a couple millions in a year.

I feel like Southampton would be a good fit. They seem to always develop and sell on players to Big Clubs

Shane Long, Danny Ings, and Che Adams. That’s the competition. Those are the strikers that actually get minutes anyway. I love me some Danny Ings. Very underrated, IMO. Long and Ings are good to learn from. Adams is a talent but a little inconsistent.

I think Ings is going to move on this summer. Lots of teams interested

I'd figure he goes to Spurs if Kane leaves.

Don't see Kane leaving at all. Kane will be the #1 for sure and a great person to learn from and study.

Dude should have long left for a bigger club ala Madrid or PSG years ago.

wolves would be really interesting if jiminez were fit (i see people asking if he will ever play again, but i dont have any real insight). i think a solid mid-level team with an established 9 but no clear backup/depth would be about the ideal fit for him- steady minutes but not carrying the load, plenty of matches to get cup starts etc. the style would be a good from what ive seen of him (though theres a new manager).

conversely southampton (assuming they keep ings) have their guy but hoppe would be one of three guys behind him. same with newcastle, though they only have that undefined blob of 3 or 4 guys.

and spurs is too high. emergency backups for one-man shows almost never work out, they just get spit out as low-mid tier lifers, at best.

Actually Hoppe modeled his game after Kane.

I mean…. just because you modeled you game after someone…….. Case in point, I modeled my game after the original Ronaldo. I tried to copy everything he did. Everything. All it got me was a D-II partial scholarship at a half-way decent soccer program, a spot at RB instead of FW, two bad hips, 4 conclusions, and a bunch of drunken college stories. ;) :D
