England will play the semies (and potentially the final), not only on homecourt but also without any opposition fans (England requires 10 days isolation... not a single opposition fan can get in :-0)

    They’ll find a way.

No England fans were supposed to even have a foot in Rome today never mind the stadium but some were there.

This is such a different tone than the English fans I watch football with.

You're allowed to go if you're a resident of the country that's hosting no matter the nationality.

There were a couple thousand Germans at Wembley, people living and working in England.

The last time the English did a count back in 2001, there were 5,765 Danes living in London, and it had grown by around 1,500 in 10 years from 1991, so I suspect that there are at least 8,700 Danes living in London today. How many across the country is impossible to say.

If, big IF Italy get pass Spain. Only a fool would bet against England in the final. They (England) get their home standium, fresher legs, 'stars' players, etc..

I am already dreading the smug, jingoistic coming home sht when England win, ugh (yes I'm salty). Won't be better with the Italians, but at least we (Belgian) have lost against the winners then. Spain will also be a pain in the ass. Imagine if Denmark win this thing tho, how awesome would that be after the Eriksen situation. Rooting for the underdog

    Not true.
Both teams are stronger. Italy would be favourites to win.

Well Mancini is definitely a better manager and the squad chemistry just seems perfect to me.

Portugal got defeated by Greece in Portugal with the best team in their history both in the opening match and the final. England is a good team, some people will struggle to accept that after what feels like three thousand years, England might have a team that matches their expectations instead of disappointing them.

Italy struggled to beat Austria and had to employ a lot of whining and crying to beat a borderline crippled Belgium team.

You never really want to be carrying a "record" like this deep into a tourney. Ditto for Italy's no losses streak . It only adds to the pressure because you know it's inevitable that you will eventually concede a goal and lose, a player might become fixated and have a self fulfilling (sabotaging) prophesy.

I remember Iker had some insane record of never conceding or losing a "final". I think he was 6-0 at that point when the la decima happened. Gave up a fluke goal and was never the same player after that (even though the team escaped with a tying goal in the 94th minute).

We actually looked comfortable winning knockout tournament game :D this is a weird experience for an England fan. Feels like the world has flipped on its head!

Roll on Denmark in the semi's. Will not be easy at all and am quite fearful of them in this tournament tbh.

Yeah, that single goal was the thing, completely transformed him.

Mama Mia. We're going nuclear with the takes today.

After a fun tournament, only Denmark can save this outcome. Really dislike all other three remaining teams. Especially England and Spain. Hope they both crash out before the final.

From what I've seen in most international tournaments, Italy is a team that doesn't mind playing dirty. They'll deploy cheap insults (ask Zidane), complaining and theatrics as long as they can get away with it. Some people might even admire that about them. I despise it about them. They're still the team to beat in this Euros imo.

Italy are hardly a special case, that's most of football to be honest. Pepe played this way for almost the entire tournament and folks were praising him to the heavens here.
