Safe to say that Rio and Lineker were pumped when England scored the first goal... Wish they’d just get off the fence 🏴 #ENGGER@GaryLineker #EURO2020 #bbceuro2020 pic.twitter.com/peprS4lk9Q— Nick Beake (@Beaking_News) June 29, 2021
People keep saying Germany need a new generation to emerge - but it already did???? Kimmich (26) The best 6 in european football this season Goretzka (26) World class 8.5 Gnabry (25) Bayern quality right sided forward - a bit out of form compared to last season Sule (25) Bayern quality CB Rudiger (28) Champs league winning CB for elite EPL side Havertz (22) Champs league winning forward for elite EPL side Werner (25) Champs league winning forward for elite EPL side (some issues) Gosens (26) quality attacking left back Sane (25) Elite wide forward for City and Bayern (but serious injury) That is 9 players!!! Sure Kimmich, Goretzka and Werner played in '18 but none of them were at the level they are now The problem is Löw already wasted this generation - the only positive is the world cup is next year so they will all still be at peak ages.
Germany will more than likely be amongst the favorites in the coming WC. There really is nothing to fret about. A defeat to England surely sticks in your craw but it's pretty much a guarantee that Flick and that group of players will use that as fuel going forward. Germany is really fine: a coaching change is what was needed and it's already done. From that perspective, Germany are ahead of the curve compared to France and Portugal, who should follow a similar path...
I forgot Musiala (18) Gnabry is great as a right sided forward, he isn't a 9. Sane might be done due to the injury but it is hard to tell I think the main issue is the lack of a decent right back, and replacement for Hummels
That has to be a red for Danielson. And it is, Sweden are not down to 10 men. Sweden down a man after a horrid tackle from Danielson 😨 pic.twitter.com/P94oIUECkh— ESPN FC (@ESPNFC) June 29, 2021
Does anyone else think that red is a bit bullshit? It’s not a high kick and he won the ball without contest. Is it his fault the other player is an idiot?
If it was 90`s thats yellow, he got the ball with studs high not sure he could dropped ankle while while flicking the ball away.. I know im in minority on quantum minority.
umm - that is how you get your leg broken - won't be surprised if my dude has a break In the slow mo, his leg blew right out
That was 30mins too long: get to the pk shootout already.... LMAO, right on cue of course: that's game!!!
These guys are paid millions to internally analyze the speed of the game, yet the guy couldn’t figure out that he was going to lose the race to that ball and even worse planted himself right in the path of the oncoming player? Seems to me like the injured party deserves to be injured.
Don't believe it was dirty or intentional from Danielson but the bottom line is when you see this and think of could have happened, this is reckless on his part and especially with VAR, it's a good bet that it will always get punished. People can talk all they want about the game going soft or whatever: that could have led to a career threatening injury...
