Who says I need to be specific? Just stating fachts He literally changed the game the moment he came on. Grealish is a player who can play with the ball at his feet, drag players out of position and unlock the defence. And he’s better than Hazard.
I think the Euros peaked yesterday. Will be hard to get two games like that again now. Other games will look a drag lol
No what you’re doing is overhyping a player as people tend to do with British players. No doubt he’s talented but he’s not underrated ( more overrated tbh) nor was he special TODAY, he had a good sub performance, nothing more, as I said Sterling was the best of the attack. So could any of sub available for the attack Considering that Hazard has been semi retired in recent years that’s not too hard is it? More importantly where is that coming from lol.
Other than the Germany - Portugal match the matches between the big teams were pretty meh in that group as well. Hungary was the element of surprise, but other than that it was more like the group of bored to death.
Facts are facts. He came on and changed the game for England. If any available sub would have done that, they’d have come on before him. They didn’t. Not Foden. Not Mount. Jack Grealish for England at the Euros: Most assists Most carries into the final third Most carries into the 18-yard-box Most fouls drawn He's only played 115 minutes of football. Like I said, brilliant, underrated player who is probably now first name on the team sheet for the QFs
People who actually played sports and don't just watch others would understand having 4 tough matches within 12 days will probably wear thin on you.... Especially when you're playing teams who have had to play only two and have rest advantages of 24-51 hours
Cheers!! Most people here questioned what on earth Southgate was doing with that formation but he is known as a defensive, conservative manager, and with our history against Germany and his own personal history I guess he just wanted to play safe. This result feels seismic for us. We just dont win big tournament games and we especially dont beat Germany. Roll on Saturday and Ukraine or Sweden!!!
He was on the pitch just 17 minutes and they hardly managed to get the ball to him - zero creativity in midfield sadly
Grealish was Man of the Match in four out his first five England games .. and then sadly had that 10 week shin injury
Emil Forsberg of Sweden (RB Leipzig) scores the equalizer for them. He's having a helluva tournament!
That’s fair, but that’s also my point, nothing against him as I actually rate the guy but he barely did anything lol but you have @AppleBob86 over here acting as if he put in the performance of the year or something and claiming that he’s underrated, Grealish is many things, underrated isn’t one, in fact I’d argue the opposite.
You said what did he do. I said he changed the game for England. Not hard is it lol Underrated player.
You sound like Lyra with all those stats, truth is he was nothing special today, he had a good assist but other than not much, Sterling however was impactful throughout.
Virtually every ex player and ex manager in the media absolutely love Grealish. Just Souness and Southgate don’t trust him
That’s a broad statement though that’s my point, I asked specifically what he’s done besides the assist but you haven’t been able to respond. Do you know what underrated means? Are people saying that Grealish isn’t a good player? If so I havent ran into them, in fact all I see is people hyping him.
It was a boring , dour game going nowhere until Grealish came on .. within minutes England were 2:0 up
