Neither team came out to play to be honest, not enjoyable watching at all for a neutral. England had the edge tonight but they were the better of 2 bad teams. I see them being able to shithouse their way past Sweden/Ukraine/Denmark/Czech all the way to the final where they will have home advantage.
Positive out of these game is we would have kroos, Modric, benzene, and alaba joining preseason bit quickly.
England beat Germany in a major tournament knockout game for the first time since 1966 🏴 👏 pic.twitter.com/nO2Z32oGdm— ESPN FC (@ESPNFC) June 29, 2021 30 - Harry Kane has scored 30 goals for @England under Gareth Southgate; in the national side's history, only @GaryLineker scored more under a single manager (35 under Sir Bobby Robson). We're mostly hoping that Eden doesn't find his way back, if Tibo gets lost with him oh well sometimes sacrifices need to be made.
I think it is an opened tournament now. Belgium is probably the best team left by performance in the first round, but what if KDB is out of the tournament. England gets home field. I think Spain turns around in the last two matches. Their offence is now statistically good. Everyone knows about Italy by now. Denmark is on a mission. Switzerland actually has their own version of Golden Generation and they beat France, but I actually don't rate them. I know nothing about the Czech Republic. Are Nedved and Cech still playing for them?
He's a superb player, a truly dynamic midfielder that takes a lots of hits. It's a shame that we may lose him this summer to City (ca. £100m), I'll be devastated.
ESPN pundits were discussing Belgiums chances and brought up the situation with De Bruyne, nobody mentioned Hazard or seemed to think he could effect the result in some way.
Congrats to @The Biscuitman Wasn't a great game from a neutral point of view but England did enough in the end although Germany had chances (Werner and Muller with an awful miss). Hopefully England open up a bit more but they have a good chance to get to the final now.
Other than that cross to Kane and getting fouled a couple of times what did he do? He was alright, nothing special.
My money is on the winner of Italy- Belgium but this Euro has been so crazy that it’s hard to make predictions.
Said it before the tournament started, I thought England were the favorites. Their talent pool is just really solid right now as opposed to the Golden Generation who were stacked in midfield and defense but poor in attack. There's quality each third of the pitch, although maybe not overflowing with it. Grealish is the man. I don't think he's a megastar but he's a fantastic player that I really like a lot.
I liked what I saw from Saka, looked brave and willing to turn-dribble at the opponent. Shame he is stuck at Arsenal, could develop nicely.
That’s not very specific is it? As I said, nice cross to Kane, and some nice touches here and there but Sterling was the driver behind England’s attack. He certainly hasn’t done anything in this game that warrants going omg brilliant and underrated, he in fact is very rated, emphasis on very , it was the typical good sub performance.
