More like Pedri is taken out by a player barely weighing in over 63 kg. Pedri is built like he's getting tucked in when the adult shows come on TV.
Argentina and Uruguay leading. As things stand, Quarter Finals will be: Brazil vs Chile Uruguay vs Colombia Argentina vs Ecuador Peru vs Paraguay
I think they should continue with this format of just South American teams in Copa America. Mexico and USA participating in the past (before they decided only to participate in Gold Cup) was fine too. But having Qatar, Japan etc as invitees in a tournament named Copa America was weird.
Messi with a brace. Bolivia gonna finish the tournament with 0 points from 4 games. Guess they are only relevant in high altitude.
Wish a team like Colombia could play more games vs European teams so many matches against CONMEBOL teams is not really leading to progress
This is something that I keep hearing. But let's analyze reality. The only times that European teams, at least the ones near the top player each other are the actual Euros (outside of WC). In qualifying (Euros or WC), the groups are greatly watered down and they are mostly playing real minnows from Europe. Maybe a group will land 2 at most 3 teams that are mid to top level. Now, I am not counting the newly formed Nations League which IMO is too new to have had any impact in development. So I really question that the reason that they are ahead is that they face each other more.
Oh yea, outside of the Euros, uefa is terrible in the entertainment aspect CONMEBOL qualifiers are much more competitive but with so many qualifier matches and Copa every 2 years I’ve lost interest in CONMEBOL I wish there was some kind of mixed nations league instead of Copa every 2 years or the actual nations league
Feels like there is something significant going on behind the scenes as there has been quite a number who have got into talks with them only to then turn them down and walk away. Spurs have a history of chopping and changing managers (Pochetino aside) on a whim, they have also clearly punched above their weight for the last 3-4 years and I think most people expect them to drop back down to their natural level (fighting for 'The Everton Cup') pretty soon. Add to that their best player says he wants to leave them, Levy is often said to be a difficult person to work with and they have just built a new stadium which needs paying for and have failed to get into the CL, and you have a not so appealing situation.
Bild reports "high agent fees and signing clauses taking the total value of the transfer to 35 mil. Euro".
Although all the rumors point to his renewal, it is remarkable that Messi has 24 hours left on his current contract and no announcement has been officially made
why did this dude go for so much less than Jovic? and speaking of Jovic I guess this could open the door for his exit of the rumors are true
If I am mid to small size club and if the likes of Madrid, Barca, Man City etc ... comes knocking, the price is different. In Brazil there are different buyout clause amounts for domestic club buyers vs international.
Andre Silva flopped at Milan and Sevilla. No interest from rich clubs despite his great numbers last season, I guess.
PSG pulling a Pepe on Ramos it seems: Offer is for a 1 year contract, with no signing bonus, take it or leave it type deal.
Okay, so this explains it a bit: Jorge Mendes had a clause installed in Andre Silva's contract that says that should the player leave the club with a transfer fee higher than 40 mil., Gestifute, will receive a 10 mil. bonus payment from Frankfurt as well as 25 percent of the transfer fee. Frankfurt were allegedly trying to get 40 mil. max for the player unless a truly astronomical offer would've been available.
