So he had a problem with his ankle since the season was ongoing and left to play the Euros. I know players are adamant about playing for their country but this recovery takes him past the start of the season which isn't good for the club. I'm a bit surprised they let him go in the first place if this is true.

 

I mean seems like Atletico were having him play with the injury too, reflects badly on all 3 parties.
