Modric isn't just finesse and technique.

He has pace and seemingly limitless stamina, an absolute machine.

There will always be the next one, you just need to have patience. Camavinga is a talent with every thing for example. Valverde is one who can be a worldbeater.

Thats what makes him so unique. You don’t see a player with such technique and finesse hustle hard in midfield. Zizous, Dinhos magnificent players, but without the ball quite useless. He makes a lot of defensive effort, maybe a little too much for a player of his stature.

football is more cyclical than linear. IF Haaland could keep this goal to games ratio he could easily compete in numbers with even CR7 and Messi. Not saying he wil or saying his career will be as good, just number wise it could happen.

    That's my point lol.

People love messi because he is pure talent.. however players like Cristiano, Ramos and Modric who are very talented but have the work ethic and this non-stop drive... that is what makes them legendary. It's what puts them in GOAT lists.

Benzema finally learned this level of dedication after seeing Cristiano do it.. if he had this level of determination we would have seen his full potential.

Anyways, let's thank God Lass Diara left and Cristiano came.

Halaand is a teenager. For all we know he could be one of the greatest of all time. For all we know this is the best he will ever be and he will bust.

You can't take players in their early 20s and younger then compare them to players retired or living legends in their mid 30s.

I agree. I just mentioned them cause they are the only young players close to a goal a game ratio for almost their entire pro carrers. You can’t argue that if they continue to hit these numbers they wouldn’t be considered at least really good. It’s hypothetical and/or unrealistic but so is some 98% of what we talk about.

The most underrated part of Modric's game is his defensive ability. For years we had the water carrier like Khedira who was also not nearly as good defensively as Modric. Of course we became better on both sides of the ball once Luka arrived and displaced Sami.

He's incredibly quick too but the guy chronically gets low speed stats in PES and FIFA too. He's so much faster than the likes of Iniesta, Xavi and Scholes.

Modric is easily the best centre mid I’ve seen since starting to follow football from early 2000s.

This a hundred times, it's a huge part of why that midfield 3 were so good, even at his best Toni is no mug on the defensive side either, he just isn't quick,

All three of those players defended and attacked very well but i don't think Luka got nearly enough credit for his work when we didn't/don't have the ball, IMO a far better two way player than say Pogba, who was once touted as a box to box player,

As for Sami, well, he gave his all for us i guess but , as far as i am concerned he never did anything particularly well.

£77m for Sancho? Expensive of course but hope this is a sign of the ridiculous transfer fees coming to an end or at least being delayed somewhat.

The Athletic claim Man City are in touch with Aston Villa over buying Jack Grealish. £100m being the figure put out there.

true. If they get Kane & Grealish there is going to be quite an exodus of players from City this summer though.

Not sure if that move is good for him. He is exciting as he is different from anyone else in the PL, he wants to run at people and dribble past them. Joining a team like city could see him win many trophies while performing 5 yard sideways passes for the season

If anyone wonders why City tried to sabotaged ESL and why PSG's puppet President is now head of ECA (heavily pro-UEFA and against ESL); wonder no more.

Now without the facade of a threat from FFP, they can just use state funds to straight buy the entire market.

Sandro Wagner took the coaching job at Unterhaching, will be one to watch in the mid to distant future when it comes to a Bundesliga job.

Dembele and Hazard would make a great partnership. In the physio room.

I saw somewhere that Gareth Bale isn’t the ‘typical’ player and he refuses to play unless he’s 100% fit !!
