UEFA on Tuesday rejected plans by the city of Munich to light the Allianz Arena in rainbow colours for the Germany-Hungary Euro 2020 match in support of the LGBT community and to protest at a law passed by the Hungarian government. https://t.co/9vUAOtUvpy— The Local Germany (@TheLocalGermany) June 22, 2021 UEFA explains its reasoning behind the decision. pic.twitter.com/bG6I7Z2jAM— DW Sports (@dw_sports) June 22, 2021 UEFA have suggested the stadium can be lit up another day, so as not to be seen as political commentary on the policy of the government of a Euro 2020 nation. Seems kind of a flimsy position when UEFA's own Equal Game campaign is aimed at tackling discrmination.— tariq panja (@tariqpanja) June 22, 2021
It's easy to stand against Hungary. Call me when these people have the bAlLzZ to stand against the middle east countries who stone homosexuals to death.
It's also easy from the UEFA to act like they care about integrity and then completely sell out at the first opportunity.
Ousmane Dembele requires surgery after his injury during France vs. Hungary and he faces up to four months out, reports @lequipe. pic.twitter.com/R5Cr3vyWVn— B/R Football (@brfootball) June 22, 2021 Dembele has opted for surgery. Up to 4 months out
Out of a contract next summer, Barca will recoup 0 on that transfer plus pay him the final contract year of huge wages. Although it's highly probable that Barca are only going to pay 1,5 months or so of his full wages during that injury break.
Whaaaat Uefa like every company/organization in the world choosing when its best to virtue signaling and bending over based on $$$
Maybe we should remove all the players names on the back and put the names of the clubs instead? After all it's a team's game.
Up to a certain level of play, that's what's going on anyway. Getting your name printed on a shirt is a privilege not a right.
If the rules of the game require players to have their names printed on the shirt, it may be more burden than privilege. I don't thinks its in there but I had never considered this as a regulation. If it's in the laws tho it might be framed as a right of the players for recognition and accountability.
José Castro also confirmed that Julen Lopetegui rejected an approach from Tottenham Hotspur."Julen rang me and told me. He said he'd received offers he'd not listened to, in addition to a dizzying one from Tottenham".#LLL🧡🇪🇸⚽️ pic.twitter.com/1KpR8cNost— La Liga Lowdown 🧡🇪🇸⚽️ (@LaLigaLowdown) June 23, 2021 The Times had reported this earlier. Lope apparently stayed due to family reasons. Good decision imo as he had find stability at Sevilla after Porto and RM experience.
Manchester United are prepared to pay €85m for Jadon Sancho. #MUFC confirm the intention to include add ons: payment structure to be discussed now. 🔴Personal terms and agents fee already agreed.BVB feeling is ‘deal now closer’, as per @bild @cfbayern. But they want €95m. https://t.co/migIpvqpWL— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) June 23, 2021
Lopetegui turns down Spurs Is anyone ever going to accept that job? Must be on to about their 10th choice by now

Brazil is already through to the next round, but it’s still a big matchup against Colombia so I don’t think it’s just a rest rotation. However, they do have some backup players starting tonight.

This is so frustrating to watch. Colombian players spent nearly 8 minutes wasting time and complaining when Brazil equalized. The referee should've started handing out cards.
Casemiroooooooo with a header goal in the 100th minute! Brasil come from a goal down since the 10th minute to equalize at the 78th then the winner at the 100th minutes.
🌟 RECORD BREAKER!Neymar has now broken Pelé’s record for most assists on the Brazilian national team with 48 assists!A remarkable achievement! pic.twitter.com/4W041KfbH9— Ginga Bonito 🇧🇷 (@GingaBonitoHub) June 24, 2021 Casemiro game winning goal was a record achievement for Neymar.
