If you wish, name your Most Memorable moments and performances in women's football of the past 12 months right here. In the "Fake awards ceremony" style, you can choose the category AND you pick the winner(s). So, it's totally corrupt and self-serving, just like a real awards ceremony :D

Goal of the season - ?

Player of the season - ?

Coach of the season - ?

    or another one:

A few more from me, imo:

Match of the season - ?

Of the games I saw in full, the Olympic playoff return game China v South Korea (13 April) really sticks in the mind. The Koreans needed away goals, so it was thrilling to watch that team in all-out attack mode, which we rarely see. They succeeded in stealing the lead - and then, the drama of China's comeback, and a playoff-winning goal in extra time by Wang Shuang.

Team of the season - ?

Again, hard to choose from many achievements around the world, but Tigres UANL in Mexico did something unprecedented in the league and won both titles this season, after great contests with Rayadas and Chivas. Hopefully, Liga MX Femenil continues to flourish next season.

Shock of the season - ?

Women's Copa Libertadores 2020 had a few - Ferroviária became South American champions after their shockingly bad start in the tournament in Argentina. Few other championships matched that unpredictability. But to me, the big upset was the semi-final, América de Cali's 93rd-minute equalizer by Joemar Guarecuco and their penalty shoot-out win, against the Corinthians team who had looked completely like champions after scoring 34 goals in 4 games.

For my player of the season I'll go outside the big leagues, to a striker I've been going on about in the mid-Asia thread who may not fulfil her potential. Sabitra Bhandari got 43 goals in 10 games for Nepal APF to win the title (including a hat-trick at the former 4-time national champs) after she was a champion in India. But a dreaded ACL injury is a new setback to her dream of playing in Europe. I hope that a club outside South Asia will eventually see how she'd do in football abroad.
