Sean Tse still has no HKSAR passport. Neither does Wellingsson Sousa, anyway he is injured.

After being released by Eastern, Sandro said that he had recieved offers from Indian clubs and from PSM Makassar of Indonesia, the club that he previously played before he joined Tai Po.

Southern's Roberto Fronza announced his retirement from professional football, but will stay at the club to serve as part of the coaching staff.

That will certainly be a good signing for Kitchee if they acquire Charlie Scott as he is one of the star players for Happy Valley.

Lee Man currently lead Eastern by a goal after a horrendous error made by Yapp Hung Fai which gifted Lee Man the lead:

    Tainan City 3:0 220 Athletic

So with Lee Man beating Eastern 1:0, Tainan tops the group right now on goal difference.

I imagine Yapp Hung-Fai wants to lose in the AFC Cup and have a good break.

Group J looks set to be decided this Saturday when Lee Man plays Tainan City at TKO sports ground.

Not sure about starting Huang Yang after he played heavy minutes in Bahrain and was also a bit banged up. Would rather throw Ho Chun Ting in there.

Full Time: Kitchee Vs Port FC - 2:0

Kitchee has recorded their second win within the AFC Champions League as goals from Roberto and Dejan Damjanovic gave them the three points as they head in to their next tie against Japan's Cerezo Osaka.

Cerezo Osaka did not look strong versus a very weak Guangzhou team. I think Kitchee has a chance to beat both teams.

    Kitchee 2:0 Port FC

Kitchee might have a chance to progress. But they need to play 5 more games in the next 15 days or so, which is very tough on the players and my concern is the club does not have a very deep bench. Also quite a few of them picked up yellow cards yesterday. Sooner or later they will get their second ones and have to serve bans.

Lee Man FC advanced to the knockout stages of the AFC Cup 2021 after thumping Tainan FC by four goals to one courtesy of Gil Martin, Jose Angel, Kim Seung-Yong and Yuto Nakamura.

On the other hand, Eastern scraped past Athletic 220 by a goal from Lee Ka Yiu.

The line-up for Kitchee to play against Cerezo Osaka is out and it remains unchanged from their last match:

    Full-Time: Kitchee Vs Cerezo Osaka - 1:2

Despite Dejan scoring to become the all-time AFC Champions League goal scorer beating Lee Dong Gook, goals from Adam Taggart and Tiago gave Cerezo the win. Overall pretty disappointed with the result especially with how Paulo Cesar made an error that lead to the second goal.

There were glimpses of Matt Orr making two attempts on goal before being substituted. I do hope Dejan will be fit against Guangzhou, but Kitchee will have to work and find a way to feed the ball to the forwards.

Another point I want to add is before Kitchee conceded the first goal, Shinichi Chan should had created an opportunity to set up Dejan Damjanovic instead of attempting to shoot on goal.

I will say that I do think Kitchee will possibly have a decent chance to get a win against a youthful Guangzhou Evergrande (hopefully Dejan will be fit enough), but as I had previously said, they need to try and find a way to feed the ball to the strikers.

Paulo Cesar might have made a mistake but I like his performances in general. I really do not see how Guo Jianqiao or Wang Chun-Peng would be better. I think these two would have made other, possibly worse, mistakes. Also I am always against blaming one player for a loss when 21 players are on the team. What happens to winning and losing together? I'd hate to be on a team that always carry out a witch hunt in a loss.

The match actually showed Kitchee's aged players really began to feel tired towards the latter stages of the second half. Coach Chu Chi-Kwong clearly has no faith in his substitutes. But he might have no choice in the two upcoming matches, both against Guangzhou Evergrande U22. If he keeps his starting line up unchanged then he will have no fit players in the last two matches against Cerezo Osaka and Port FC. In any case Huang Yang has had two yellow cards and he will have to serve a suspension in the next match.

There are so many young up and coming keepers in the league. Why are we stuck with Paulo, or Wang, or Guo? Why can't Kitchee field a half decent GK?

Since HVAA will not play anymore, go grab To Chun-kiu and make him your future #1.

Bringing To Chun-Kiu would be one option, the other option Kitchee could consider is recalling Wong Tsz-Chung who is on loan to Division One club Shum Shui Po and perhaps give him a chance.

It is nice to play for a club whose fans are always trying to get rid of you after one mistake.

Honestly if our keepers were so great then they wouldn't be playing in the HKPL already.

For what its worth, here are the highlights. Click to watch on youtube.

Anyway, this is what Lewis Hamilton said after losing the Styrian Grand Prix at the weekend: "In a moment of defeat, the initial reaction should not be pointing fingers at anybody or looking to find excuses. "

Hong Kong sports fans have a lot to learn.

Well that's a bit unfair to me - via your two posts, it's clear you're trying to paint me as a bandwagon fan, celebrating when the team wins and immediately blaming players when the team loses.

Wang, Paulo, and Guo have been bottom tier goalkeepers for some time now. I'm not comparing them to Manuel Neuer. I'm comparing them to the HKPL standard - they are still bottom tier. Of the HKPL Championship tier, all 3 goalie's would be considered the worst. Eastern (Yapp Hung Fai), Pegasus (Leung Hing Kit), and Lee Man (Yuen Ho Chun) all have very decent goalkeepers - and yes, @Angsa, even though they play in the HKPL they are very good.

Look at the relegation group. Southern's Tse Tak Him and Choy Tsz To are pretty decent. HVAA's To Chun Kiu and Tse Ka Wing are good young prospects; and even right now, I would have them on par with Paulo and Guo, if not outright better already. Wang is a 37 year old aging and injured GK, I'm not sure how much better he is to be honest. Resources FC have Lam Chun Kit, really an outstanding keeper, though a bit small, but he has played really well in his first HKPL season. Lastly, BC Rangers Oleksii - this guy I find tall, but not a very good GK. So perhaps I can rank Kitchee's above him.

Kitchee's GK's rank 7/8 in my book. Perhaps you have a difference in opinion on my rankings, but I am almost certain you won't rank them in the top half. They are bottom half goalies, and Kitchee should have gotten a better goalie a long time ago. This is not about some noble sports loyalty, it's about reality. Throwing out some Lewis Hamilton quote won't change a thing - yes, of course I know we can't blame someone immediately after a loss, it's after a whole season (or seasons). Weren't you calling for Mixu's dismissal earlier? After a few games? As long as we don't flip flop from love to hate after 1 game, I think it's fair to assess players and ask that they leave.

Guo and Paulo are 35. Wang is 37. This is reality.

I get the impression that the HKFA are really have no idea on what they are doing with Mixu's situation.
