Pretty impressive tbh. Do like this kid: always liked what I've seen whenever I've seen him with Chelsea. Very curious as to what his future with them will be like. 20-year-old Billy Gilmour was named MOTM on his full debuts in the FA Cup, Premier League, Champions League and now in his first game for Scotland ⭐️ pic.twitter.com/Pcp1lyVaAP— ESPN FC (@ESPNFC) June 19, 2021 The Scotland v Croatia game coming up will be very interesting and I'm really looking forward to it. In theory, it should be easy work for Croatia but for all their talent and superior technical ability, they've also looked old and leggy in this tournament as a team. Clark seem to have found the right combination with the team he put out vs England and if they can bring the same energy and intensity, it could cause Croatia some issues and who knows, perhaps even accomplish what looked like the impossible prior to the tournament. They need to find a way to score though, which obviously has been an issue for them: with some luck, only one could suffice. Good response on their part from both coaching staff and the players after a mediocre opening game.
It's a shame Hungary were drawn in this super tough group. 2nd game in a row where they've given a good account of themselves. And you get the feeling that in a 'normal' group, they might have been able to do something. Doing it without their star man, Szoboszlai too. Let's see how France responds: they really should have been ahead already, to be honest...
Highly unlikely, but it'd be absolutely hilarious if Hungary were to hold for the win today and Germany manage to beat Portugal later. Thus making all 4 teams square ahead of the last matchday...
Pavard strikes me as the RB version of Lindelöf. I know he could play CB, but he just seems like anyone can go past him.
Dembele sure has made an impact since coming on. .... it's just a shame that he can't seem to shake those constant muscular injuries (as he has to be subbed off).
Germany really going for it, if they can score early I'm having flashbacks of 2014. I was very thankful they were able to sell beer in the stadium that day in Salvador that day as it meant I could just drink myself through the second half......
And sure enough, against the run of play Portugal score and of course it's that guy CRon, 0-1 (just 2 away now) .
We've got a game on our hands: Gosens for Havertz, 1-1. Def looks like a Ruben Dias og on the replay. Germany have now taken the lead. Another og by the looks of it (Guerreiro this time). Good reaction from Germany after going behind.
Our fullbacks just look like they haven't got a clue what they're doing. Can't defend, can't stop a cross. Neither Danilo or William are contributing a thing either
Gosens is the most important player in the Germany attack. All of their attacks go through him. Change my mind.
I imagine that Ruben Dias can't be too happy right now: the defensive shape around him is absolutely all over the place...
Really? I thought it was Geurrero myself. I mean, what, 2 goal contributions already is pretty stellar.
Semedo is having a terrible match at RB. Missing Cancelo terribly. And Nuno Mendes having meant to have got a knock in training means Dalot is the only option to replace either of them
Wow, that's 4 for Germany and Gosens gets the goal he deserves. That should set up a very interesting final day in the group should this hold. 2-4. This one may not be over with defending of that nature. Plenty of time left here...
