Yo, Puli might not play...definitely would leave a bad taste when he's alone after the victory festivities.
I wouldn't say it was lucky. Chelsea have been creating the better opportunities and could easily be 3 up rn. If Pep had played an actual DM that pass to havertz might have been intercepted. Chelsea playing well. Guardiola teams have always struggled with counters.
CP is the first ever Champions League title winner for a US player. Kind of cool despite the super sub status.
He did fine due to the relentless press & time-wasting on the ball. But he's gotta finish that chance & be a hero. We'd ream Timo for the same type of contribution. In the end it's great to have a bunch of silverware in the case. But the next step is getting some players who are clearly a reason for it.
Congratulation to Pulisc for being part of a Champions League squad... Now is when his real work begin...This upcoming offseason will be the most crucial one of his career...He's gonna needs to get stronger, work on his balance, outside shooting and work rate. If Chelsea brings in someone like Sancho, he will have to consider his option...If he stays, he at least knows where he stands with Tuchel...He's gonna need more goals/assist and better work rate to start regularly.

So does Pulisic want to stay at a club where all he can do is run rabbit in the important games (even if there's a CL medal at the end of it)? I'd think the CL medals are rare...but the running rabbit part not so rare.
Jesus. Werner misses absolute sitters. That's not even half a chance if not for close control and passing from Pulisic that Werner is incapable of. I really wish we still had negrep for anyone posting negative stuff about an American Champions League winner within minutes of the game being finished.
Kind of harsh bro. He’s a hero already. They all are.... maybe not Timo. Pulisic arguably got Chelsea here and he was very clean and effective when he entered. Should have done better on his shot but his back heel started the sequence. Otherwise he combined well to create moderate danger and see out the game.
F all of your what ifs and well actuallys .@cpulisic_10 wins the @ChampionsLeague with @ChelseaFC! 🏆🇺🇸#UCLFinal pic.twitter.com/BBrgTXe5pI— U.S. Soccer Men's National Team (@USMNT) May 29, 2021
It depend on what Chelsea does this off season..If they bring in a stronger attacker than Zeyech, I don't see how he does not at least take a look at his options out there...but maybe he's accepting the super sub role in exchange of winning trophies.
We have lower standards for non American players & if we want to reach the level it can't be that way. Can't be mad at the truth either. Many thought he would and should start and be unequivocally an asset to the win beforehand. So exultation afterward can't be expected when those things don't come to fruition. If they did, or he drove the knife in off the bench, I'd be celebrating it.
Tuchel and Chelsea have now beaten the Premier League winners outright three times in six weeks. If they sign a striker and a linking central midfielder, they will be in the title hunt next season. Pulisic was great after coming on and Tuchel's tactics undeniably worked.
A goal an an assist in a 3-1 aggregate semifinal doesn’t get him into “clearly a reason for it” status?
