So, here it is guys. The battle of the titans, (and manchester city), in the 2021 champions league final.

It's being held in Porto which is... er... I dunno... abroad somewhere I'd think.

Edit: Just checked professor google. It's in Portugal apparently. Who knew! :) Well, OK. Everyone except me I guess but there we are.

It's on at 8PM UK time and can be watched on BT sport which, as it happens, is the one streaming service I have so..., eat shit and die fuvver muckers :)

I have no idea about where it can be seen elsewhere. Probably on some steam-driven foreign device involving pullies, wheels and little cogs.

Is that all in order Yas?

We've made it this far in 3 straight decades now which is pretty cool. All the pressure will be on City and that can be as big a barrier as the team they face on the pitch.

They tightened up against us in the fa cup when the quadruple was on and it hurt them. They really need this win to validate them as a genuine superpower.

Chelsea go in having secured top 4 which was at the top of the list and affords us some freedom. Hopefully this will mean we are less tight as we showed against arsenal, leicester and villa. Trying too hard and spurning chance after chance.

Let's finish this improbable season the best way and stop city from getting their number one priority.

Greetings everyone, Borussia Dortmund fan here.

Chelsea have looked shaky over the past few games, which is obviously a cause for concern heading into the final, and from experience I can tell you this is typical of Tuchel, a tendency to underestimate seemingly inferior opponents which backfires horribly.

Manchester City will inevitably win the Champions League one day, I just hope it never happens with that smug Catalan at the helm, and sports media's undisguised desire to see M. City winning the CL this Saturday makes it all the more off-putting.

So please, do the rest of the world a favour and spare us the unpleasantness of pundits all around the world having a collective orgasm over their dearly beloved Pep winning his third CL.

I sincerely hope you upset them all and win the Champions League.

Not much to say here. UCL losses can be so upsetting and the victories can be unimaginably sweet. 9 years later and that win in Munich is still so fresh in the memory bank. This would be such a wonderful feat, especially given the circumstances. C'mon Chelsea :)

Damn I’m anxious about this one. City won’t be parking the bus so it should be an open game but things have been ugly lately

UEFA operates like a criminal organization. To this day the way they coerced BVB into playing the QFs vs Monaco the day after the bomb attack still makes my blood boil.

Mendy and Kante training today is a huge boost.

    That is really low.

To say I hate them would be an under statement. Big reforms of that organisation are needed. That said, we are playing in their final. I like to think of it is our final, the fans, the club, the people, etc.

Foden fears Kante. He says he is "everywhere". Because he is. Kante is everywhere. That is his best position.

To use an old sporting adage: two thirds of the earth is covered by water, the rest is covered by N'golo Kante.

Picking up the debate from the other thread:

    Werner - Kai - Mason

    or:

    Pulisic - Kai - Mason

    or somewhat less probably:

    Pulisic - Werner - Mason

I feel pretty sure that option 1 is what we'll see. Tbh I don't know whats best for us at this point. Timo does good stuff. We've all read/talked about it. But dude. Put one in the net son.

It's crazy that after all the spending, this is where we are weakest.

    Thank god for Mason Mount

    Werner - Kai - Mason

For me this is the most logical approach

Agreed....with Mount and CHO off the bench.

My hope is Kante is healthy and we don't need to use a sub 20 minutes into the match to replace him.

I’m guessing you mean Puli off the bench cause it would be a hell of a trick if Mount subbed in for Mason.

You may be onto something here. Perhaps he's been secretly subbing a fresh-legged clone of himself at halftime this whole time

We have to go at them. 5 subs allowed, so we need not fear swapping players out. We need not worry too much about the starting XI. We have to have a trick or two up our sleeve. A formation or style change.

I would start with something like this. . .Although Tuchel will not be doing this. Tuchel will be playing Jorghino. Tuchel will be starting with Timo.

    Mendy

    James
    Thiago
    Rudiger

    CHO
    Kova
    Kante
    Chillwell

    Mount
    Havertz
    Pulisic
