I am in Chicago but skipped the game. Visiting friends with no tv (they have one it we are outside). Something stupid happened? Excellent
Am I supposed to be happy right now because that was an awful watch? We are still second to last in the league.
That navy jersey is beautiful- the one with the sky blue accents and Chicago flag stars? One of my all time favorites, wish we could have worn it for a fourth season. I was wearing the same jersey as the team today, kiddo had on the red 2019 primary. I guess it’ll be the lucky combo until the team does something stupid again.
I know that the Fusion/Herons/Miami Beckham Uniteds aren’t winning MLS Cup or anything this year, but still good to a get a win in a game where the Fire could’ve had an additional goal or two with a few lucky bounces. From the stands it was mostly fun and exciting and I was honestly surprised/impressed with the size of Miami’s supporter section.
I am hoping that the red flags that they left on our seats is a sign that we are going back to red in the re-rebrand. Both teams were pretty bad. I was surprised that Miami was willing to allow Sekulic and Navarro so much space, but the Fire were unwilling and in the few occasions incapable of providing that diagonal ball. Happy for the win!
I liked the hustle and energy the Fire showed but they were lucky Miami's gk fumbled that free kick in. Well a victory is a victory and when it is your first you can't complain.
I had to choose between the Fire and the Red Stars today. Both teams looked hopeless. I'm glad I chose the game that actually had a Chicago win.
