Yet even then, Man City looked uninspired, like the idea of clinching a Premiership title wasn't exciting enough for them.
City played hard and wanted to win, but Pep rotated heavily, certainly more heavily than Tuchel did. Chelsea had more at stake and that showed.
I dunno TT rotated pretty heavily. James, Alonso, Gilmour, Dave for Thiago, Ziyech, and if we are honest Puli has only been a rotational starter. City were pretty much keeping a man close to Puli all game. The ref had a tough day at the office. Nice comeback victory and TT continues to transform CFC from a goal shipping side into a fortress at the back.
Nah, that's an outdated view. Pulisic has started 6 of Chelsea's last 7 league games. The only one he hasn't was Fulham last weekend. At the start of Tuchel's tenure, sure, but that's not accurate anymore.
Havertz stock is on the rise. If I had to bet today, it would be Havertz and Werner starting in the CL final with Pulisic as the super sub.
Wow. I'd sub Jorgi out right now. Not only did he make that backpass, he sat and watched the action after when he could have stopped the second shot -- and goal -- from happening. That's one of the million reasons I am not the manager of Chelsea.
Pulisic better not be held accountable for this horror show. He can’t do his thing if teammates do not do their jobs.
