    Chester is practically in Hershey.

But he should do a chef's kiss then finish the move by giving TT the finger as he climbs on the skid of the helicopter.

That, hereafter will be know as the "Hershey Kiss - off."

Hershey is at least a two day trip by horse and buggy. That’s if you survive that last bit on I-95.

As someone explained, you're arguing this based on Tuchel/Chelsea fan perspective and we agree, he did what he had to do and it worked...

But CP has huge ambition as a footballer and he's made it clear he reject being used as impact sub for big matches Champion league semi finals.

If Tuchel continues to use him in such a way in big matches, I don't think CP should stick around, regardless of Chelsea success.

And no players with the ambition of becoming a top footballer should accept being use as impact sub..not at 22, specially when in form and well rested.

And he should definitely not accept it when he's in better form than the players who got the start ahead of him.

As a poster pointed out nicely, what may good for Chelsea may not necessarily be good for CP.

This is a Pulisic thread, so my argument is based on CP perspective and him wanting to be a world class footballer.

Your argument will be well received in any Chelsea fan club thread.

Well, obviously TT doesn’t see it that way. I’m not sure if Pulisic is Chelsea’s best player (I said you can make a very strong argument for that, but it’s not the sort of thing you can state definitively), but if he’s not, he’s very close to being that. Which is why TT was wrong in not starting him the second leg. It was a dumb decision that luckily for Chelsea didn’t cost them the finals (thanks in part to Pulisic coming in and once again demonstrating why he is one of Chelsea’s best players).

    You have a good point.

However, I think Hazard is damaged goods now. He doesn't demand the same value like he did a few years ago. Would Chelsea even want him back? Especially when they get young Kai, Pulisic, Mount, Werner, etc.

And this is exactly why Neymar moved away from Barca.

He wanted to be the STAR. He does not settle for being a side kick to Messi. Sure, had he stayed with Barca he probably win more trophies with them, but he wanted to find his own success, make his own history.

Look if Pulisic ducked less and goose stepped more he would have locked down a starting spot.

    Who?

    Sometimes Butch needs Sundance.

It's always interesting to me how/why a player goes from "a" great player to the "name is synonymous with greatness." Some guys - CR7, Ibra, Gazza, Cantona in their day, to name just a few, just have the kind of personality that if they have the chops to be considered great they're gonna pull focus and always be in the spotlight - and even thrive off it. Messi is not really a "star" personality to me, but is just that good. CP hits me the same way. He won't ever be a "single name star" based on his personality. He's going to have to be really, really good over a lot of seasons.

The most important player on Chelsea is N'Golo Kante. The next most important player is Edouard Mendy. Kante is the best 2-way player in the world. Great defensive midfielder, and now solid attacking midfielder. Sarri was on to something.

    I feel like it's:
The most important player on Chelsea is N'Golo Kante
The second most important player on Chelsea is N'Golo Kante
The last most important player on Chelsea is N'Golo Kante

But Mount, Thiago, Azi, Chilwell, Kova, Jorginho, and Christensen/Rudiger have been immense for them too. It's so cringe-worthy that at the beginning of the season (or last?) Lampard said this team was too young and not good enough to think about trophies and now they're in the CL final. He was, it turns out, wildly out of his depth.

Kante has played well recently, but he was remarkably average for much of the past couple years. Maybe he just needed a real manager.

Should he win both the FA Cup and CL, i gotta figure it'd be ideal for Sports Illustrated to place him on the cover especially with upcoming NT matches. Get solid coverage and lead to more interest on NT activities this summer.

It seems Wembley would be unavailable, as they are hosting the EFL playoffs the same weekend. Villa Park has offered to host, and apparently UEFA is also considering whether to send the game to Lisbon again.

When two Spanish teams played the final, the Spaniards were ok playing it in Paris, Lisbon or Milan. When two Italian teams made the final, they were fine playing it in Manchester. When two German teams made the final, they didn't ask to move it away from London.

But the English always think they are special...

From reports I've read Man City and Chelsea are not lobbying for a move, aware they are in the UEFA dog house over the Super League shenanigans. This has to do with the UK putting Turkey on the red list for travel based on Covid rates - which means that anyone returning to the UK from Turkey has to quarantine in a government controlled hotel for 10 days. UK-based fans would be unlikely to go to Istanbul under those conditions - and the teams would be pretty inconvenienced.

I agree though that in general the English think they're special :)

I would agree with you on number 1. Kanye is incredible. He needs a good central midfield partner, probably an upgrade over Kova or Jorginho for Chelsea to have a truly dominant midfield though. What they really need is another Lampard.
Second most important right now is tough to say, I’m not sure there is another. I think it’s probably their defensive unit as a whole, Mendy included.

With the way man city hold the ball, it sets up well for the type of tactic Chelsea were using against PSG the other day. As soon as PSG lost the ball, Chelsea looked to counter in a flash. I think TT will look at how Havertz missed a few really good opportunities (although his biggest miss turned into an asssit to Werner), and hopefully will see that Pulisic’s pace and cutting ability might be better than Havertz against City in the final. I don’t think we’ll see the same setup today as well see in the final. Neither coach will want to give away their tactic to the other two weeks from the final.
