Jose is smart, he'll put big characters around him who knows what the club is about. He has the Samuel connection from Inter too so that makes sense. They could go back to basics and build the siege mentality that made the early Chelsea.

I crave siege mentality. I have been so sick of, and against the attempts to play champagne football when we were not built in a position to do so.

When Jose Mourinho was managing Inter, I absoltutley hated the guy. He was so arroant back then but he did win everything.

I also heard an interview where his compatriot with Inter , Luis Figo didn't care for him that muchand the way he phased him out.....

I thought back then he inherited most of the team from Roberto Mancini but he still get's credit for the 2010 treble.....

    Serie A:

    Coppa Italia: 2009–10

I don't care for many of my countrymen, that doesn't mean that they suck( okay, okay, it does).

But yeah... I don't care if he's the most annyoing guy to be around in the whole club, if we can turn those 0 points matches into 3 pointers, I'd call him my best friend and be done with it. The footballers are getting paid buckets of money to be professional about it, if we normal people can swallow our dignity for a fraction of that money, they'd better be able too.

For one I like the fact that we're celebrating an acquistion for his achievements, not his unrealised potential, it's normal for people to be happy when all they're used to is the Spalletti spaghetti-throwing tactics kind of coaches in this world.

I totally get why people are excited but the man has yet to start his first training with the team. It feels as if he won us the Scudetto already.

When was the last time Roma got a coach that has actually won something ?

Mourinho has almost as many CL titles as Roma has scudettos. Of course people would be excited.

He brings higher expectations with defensive football. If it weren't true, I'd think the excitement around this guy was kind of weird. A Ranieri who manages to get top talent, at times, that makes it work. Kind of like Serie A in early 90's.

Retroball of sorts. I like it, it's awesome to see many gung ho all attack fans get behind someone with that mentality.

Exactly. Since capello we’ve had scrubs. Guys with potential but with no actual chance of winning.

Many people say that Mourinho has lost his touch after failing at Man Utd and Spurs but I want to believe that Serie A suits him perfectly.

I saw highlights of Leeds - Spurs. That Spurs team, which was Mourinho's looked beyond dog shit. That is certainly something to be worried about. Although for me it was amusing, Leeds been my home town.
There are many positives though, he knows Italy well and he is not an idiot. Already with those two attributes he is better then most who have come here.

The over excitement from some Roma fans is already pathetic.

I just hope he is as good as Cappello.
