On a discussion board, sometimes people will reply to your posts, thus making it a discussion and not a diary. I meant no offense, which I thought was obvious.
Kante's ability to come at speed and just strip the ball, almost before the opposing player knows he's lost it is just breathtaking.
Refs usually allow Ramos at least two or three of those before giving him the "last warning" discussion, and then give him a few more before actually booking him. I truly dislike that guy. He is sooo entitled out there.
Yep, 2-0 at the half and you could stick a fork in RM. Now, it's still game on for RM. They always needed one goal anyway.
Long way to go in this one, RM will adjust tactics. The good news is Chelsea looks good, and may end up having an American play in a CL final. The bad news is Chelsea look good, and Pulisic is not on the field. Makes him seem like surplus goods...
Chelsea look like the better side over 3 halves. Benzema could convert a half chance like last game but so far Chelsea are in control. Game might be over if Pulisic started but good chance for him to seal the deal if he gets on in the second half.
Leeds were able to press them into submission. So were a few other EPL midtable sides. Yet Madrid aren't remotely pressing them. They have 3 central defenders out there, and basically Jorginho as the only possession minded player...it's like Madrid didn't even bother scouting them. You want to break down Chelsea? High press them. Especially Pulisic isn't on the pitch. You can be damn sure that Werner and Kai are going to ***** up in transition.
Chelsea super lucky that Havertz's chip (that looked way too high) hit the crossbar in such a way that it floated up and in front of goal for Werner to just tap in w/o a RM player anywhere close
"Long way to go? Who suggested that it WASN'T a long way to go?What are you, CRAZY?" Just kidding, guys.
I'm pretty sure Pulisic buries the 1v1 that Havertz dinked off the bar as well. And yeah, Pulisic could have scored the goal Werner scored, even though Tuchel thinks he is too short to start today.
Yeah, that was a very strange comment. Almost sounded like a very lazy excuse to justify his selection. I am sure Pulisic had won more aerial dues than Havertz ever did. Heck, Pulisic even scored with this head, dude got a great jump on him.
It's almost as if Pulisic gets penalized because he CAN make an impact off of the bench. Werner can't and therefore gets the start so Tuchel can check that box.
The dude can dunk for gods sake. That's incredible for a 5'8" guy. Haven't heard anyone put it better.
